A-Rosa Alea and A-Rosa Clea, both of which were added to the A-Rosa fleet for the 2024 season, come under the World of Cruising spotlight

Sister ships A-Rosa Alea and A-Rosa Clea joined A-Rosa River Cruises in April 2024, sailing on the Rhine and Moselle.

This duo of boutique-style vessels have an intimate ambience, while their smaller size means they can sail into the heart of city centres such as Strasbourg in France and Trier in Germany.

A-Rosa Alea will offer itineraries to Paris when it moves to the Seine in 2025, and from 2026 A-Rosa Clea will head to the Gironde/ Garonne in France’s Bordeaux region.

1. Lounges Whether you want a coffee to kickstart your day, a post-excursion beer or a nightcap under the stars, each ship offers a choice of two indoor and one outdoor lounge areas, where you can enjoy a range of complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

2. Cabins A-Rosa Alea can accommodate 138 guests, with A-Rosa Clea offering room for 140. Passengers can choose from 14 and 15sq metre cabins, some with Juliet balconies, while a handful of 23sqm suites offer additional facilities and come with butler service.

3. Market Restaurant Both ships follow a similar culinary concept to A-Rosa Alva. In Market Restaurant you can help yourself to indulgent breakfast buffets, while starters and desserts are also enjoyed buffet-style for lunch and dinner. Main courses are served at your table.

4. Sun deckThere won’t be any scrambling for sun loungers on these ships, as the upper deck is generously supplied with plush seating areas from which to enjoy the view. Watch the passing river traffic from the whirlpool or while enjoying a game with the giant chess-board.

5. Onboard vibeBoth ships offer the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that A-Rosa is known for. As well as the choice of three lounges, there are no fixed table sizes or dress codes. And you can dine whenever you please, as long as it’s within the restaurant’s opening hours.

6. ItinerariesThese smaller ships are designed to dock in the heart of their destinations, offering the potential to add exciting new ports of call in future. In 2024 the ships will sail into Strasbourg and Trier, before expanding further into France in 2025.
