First LACOSTE and Carolina Herrera boutiques at sea to début on Norwegian Escape

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the two latest luxury brands to occupy retail space aboard its latest cruise ship, Norwegian Escape.

The two boutiques – LACOSTE and Carolina Herrera – will be the first at sea for each brand as well as the first boutiques to be designed specifically for a Norwegian Cruise Line ship.

LACOSTE was established over 80 years ago and is a sport inspired lifestyle brand renowned for elegance and comfort. Their product range includes sportswear, footwear, eyewear, watches, fragrances, leather goods, and other items besides its iconic polo shirts.

Carolina Herrera is an international fashion house recognised for timeless elegance and refinement. The Carolina Herrera boutique aboard Norwegian Escape will include luxury products including handbags, leather goods, pashminas, scarves, jewellery, footwear and accessories.

Andy Stuart, Norwegian Cruise Line’s president and chief operating officer, said: “These exclusive boutiques from two legendary fashion industry icons add further glamour to one of the most exciting cruise ships ever built. LACOSTE and Carolina Herrera will offer Norwegian Escape guests a shopping experience unlike any other at sea.”

In addition to these new dedicated boutiques, Norwegian Escape will also feature products from widely recognised brands including Hublot, Bvlgari, Tissot and Uno de 50. The ship will also be the first to stock Ulysse Nardin watches, as well as a hand-picked collection of Columbian Emeralds.

When it is launched next month Norwegian Escape will become the largest ship in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet. She will sail weekly seven-night cruises from her year-round home-port of Miami to the Eastern Caribbean starting on 14 November 2015. The 164,600 gross ton ship will be the largest ever to home port year-round in Miami, carrying 4,200 guests to tropical Caribbean destinations including St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands and Nassau, Bahamas. Norwegian Escape was floated out of the building shed in Papenburg, Germany, last month and will visit Southampton ahead of its transatlantic repositioning voyage in late October.
