This favourite among more mature cruisers lost two ships but gained another pair during the pandemic. Out went veterans Boudicca and Black Watch, to be replaced by former Holland America ships Amsterdam (now called Bolette) and Rotterdam (now called Borealis). Borealis was the first to make her maiden voyage, from Liverpool in July 2021, followed in August by Bolette (named after Fred. Olsen Jnr's great-great-grandmother), which sailed from Dover to the isles of Scilly. Both ships were extensively refurbished for their new roles, with the addition of familiar venues such as the Morning light pub, Bookmark Café and Oriental tea room.
