MSC Virtuosa, Northern Europe
4
Embarkation in Southampton took a long time. The queues were very long. On board the ship is very modern, a lovely vessel. The food was excellent. Both in the Restaurant and Market Place [buffet].
Cabin spacious, not enough drawer space.
Entertainment very good, except the Tina Turner tribute painful. Costumes for the dancers lovely. I wish P&O would take note of MSC.
The down side was the number of children 1.800. 6000 passengers in all 2000 crew. Some children unruly, you wonder what the parents are like. P&O Arvia & Iona, like the Virtuosa is a ship for the masses. Definitely not for older people used to cruising. The price was very good. Pound for pound MSC beat the other cruise companies hands down. It's a case of pile high sell cheap. But watch the add ons. Disembarkation was a nightmare. Try getting 6000 people off a ship with 2 on the gangway.
