Queen Mary 2, Northern Europe

Everyone should take at least one ocean liner cruise on the Queen Mary II, a wonderful experience of low key luxury and pampering in a posh environment. We had rough March seas crossing the Atlantic and you could hardly feel the ship rocking, but the sight of the waves out the windows was thrilling. The staff will spoil you, the food is outstanding, even in the buffet, and room service is so indulgent in the morning you will hate to leave the ship. I looked forward to this trip for years, and will be back on the QM2 soon.

I love the formality of this cruise line, dressing for dinner etc. Only wish there was a more open style of dining which is only available to club balcony grade and above
