Borealis, Northern Europe

We immensely enjoyed our cruise to the Norwegian fjords in May. Norway is a very beautiful country and the itinerary covered many of the most scenic and interesting sights. We maybe would have liked a bit more time in Bergen. As well as taking us through some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe, the cruise was very relaxing. The excursions were most enjoyable and good value for money. The ship is very well appointed and there was entertainment every night; it also has a choice of restaurants. Embarkation and disembarkation was very well organised and ran very smoothly.
In respect of dining, I think we enjoyed the breakfasts the most as there was such a wide range of choices and we could have as much as we wanted. The lunches were good too. In the dinners in the evening the food was of good quality but the portions tended to be on the small side, which is why I have only given dining three stars. We would cruise with Fred. Olsen again and would certainly love to go to Norway again.
