Marella Discovery, Mediterranean
5
Our second cruise on the Marella Discovery, the previous occasion was pre-pandemic and we did feel standards had slipped a little. Less staff and less food choice not that it spoiled our holiday at all, we had an amazing time and didn't want to come home. Seven day cruise from Palma visiting some great ports, we especially loved Cartagena where the ship docked right in the town centre.
We had an outside cabin on Deck 2, 2548, which was very quiet and in an excellent location for getting on / off at ports. Compact as you'd expect but lots of storage and we had everything we needed
We had the premium drinks package which we thought was well worth it, especially for the Coffee Port and smoked cocktails in Bar Eleven. The 'Chocolate Ember' was amazing!
Used the buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch and the main dining room in the evening.
Went to Surf & Turf one night to celebrate our anniversary. Fantastic food and 5 star service, we though it was good value for money.
Loved it so much we have already booked the same cabin for one of the USA sailings later this year :-)
