Regal Princess, Mediterranean

We had a lovely two week cruise around the Med with an amazing itinerary, which is why we booked it in the first place. We had booked several excursions through Princess at quite a considerable cost but unfortunately some of these did not live up to expectation. Princess seem to place the onus on stopping off at random places to show demonstrations with the purpose of the passengers to make a purchase. I want an excursion that takes to the place it states and only that place and to spend more time there with the deviation of shopping. I realise that with a shore excursion there is only a limited amount of time but when that time is not even met then it is a huge disappointment. We were certainly rushed in some destinations and some of the local guides were not as good as they could be.

The ship and all the crew was of a very high standard, very clean and comfortable. The crew were very professional and friendly and always gave their best.

The food was not as good as other cruises we have been on, including a different Princess cruise, and there was no difference in quality of food in the dining rooms to the Horizon Court buffet.

Overall a lovely cruise but with room for improvement.
