Emerald Princess, Panama Canal

As a solo traveller having been on Sky Princess, Emerald Princess, Hurtigruten, Fred Olsen and Marella, Princess was good value for money (EVEN having to pay almost double as a solo AS SADLY USUAL !!!) the staff were wonderful, could not do enough for me ...laundry service expensive, but good option to pay for your own (which I did) entertainment first class. Restuarants not very accommodating for a solo ...whereas I could ask to share table for dinner, a lot of people said NO they would not be willing to share ! those who did were all lovely but on the last night no one wanted to !... cleanliness was lovey and lots to do on sea days. Land excursions were really interesting with the ability to book a tour from the ship, or go it alone if you wished. Panama canal really interesting, and on board lectures about the places we were visiting the next day, as well as afternoon lectures if you wished on various subjects. Line dancing lessons and salsa lessons available and other activities. Shame I could not join the quizzes as a solo 'team' .......but no cruise line is really wanting solo travellers I find !
