We have just returned from a 3 night maiden voyage on Fred Olsens Bolette, we have been cruising regularly on Fred’s other ships so are used to the brand. Due to current restrictions it was a scenic cruise to the Channel Islands and back to Dover. The testing COVID procedures at the port were quite slow and seemed a little disorganised however once given the all clear check in was efficient. The cabin a balcony suite was spacious with a hospitality tray, adequate storage and a mini bar. The bathroom looked a little dated and shower over the bath which was poor and at times was no more than a trickle, the balcony itself was quite rusty and chairs needed replacing as they were very worn. We ate in both of the restaurants speciality where the service and food were excellent especially the Vasco Goan cuisine perfection. We found the cruise relaxing with a few teething problems which are only to be expected after 16 months away from cruising. Will be back onboard in a few months and expect things to be back to normality as expected from Fred Olsen.

The cabins are very compact compared with older ships. They are made longer and narrow, we had a balcony and the space at the foot of the bed is very small and they don't allow much room for access to...
