The best of Edge series has come to the Solstice class in this revamp of Solstice. A great itinerary of Bali & Australian ports. The best celebrity service on board from staff who remember you & your favourite requests. Can’t wait to see the other Solstice class ships get similar facelifts. Would definitely repeat this itinerary & any others on the Celebrity Solstice.
Celebrity Solstice gad just undergone a major refurbishment when we sailed on her on 2nd March 2026.
Everything felt new and fresh.
The food was great in the main dining room, and the buffet was one of the best I've experienced on a cruise.
Entertainment was ok, nothing spectacular, but we still enjoyed it. The bars were never too busy, and we never waited more than 5 mins for a drink.
Balcony cabin was spacious and felt new after the refurb.
Staff very good in all areas.
This was our first time sailing with Celebrity, and we really enjoyed our Thailand-Vietnam cruise on Solstice.
Fantastic wildlife, fabulous scenery and quiet little towns cut off from the rest of the World. What a great way to spend seven days. Glaciers, bears, whales, Tingit culture and more combined with the comfort of a modern cruise ship. Top trip !
Lovely ship, getting a bit tired but still good.
Service excellent, food good.
The cruise was for my husbands 60th. We were joined by two friends who’d never cruised before. From getting on to getting off we had a great experience. The days at sea were busy with fantastic entertainment. Our friends after the first day were hooked. The was a good choice of excursions and I went on one that was different to my friends and hubby. If you’re on a budget and don’t want to go on an excursion, the ports were walking distance from the ship and plenty to see and do
This is our third cruise with celebrity and once again brilliant service, ship and entertainment. It is the first cruise since I’ve developed a dairy allergy and I did struggle at first to find food I could eat that I was sure I wouldn’t have a reaction to. There was no food labelled as vegan which I knew I could safely eat. Our restaurant however, if I gave them my choices the night before, the could prepare my meal dairy free and the made a surprise sweet each night for me. I was disappointed there was no vegan ice cream in the buffet or vegan cakes so I couldn’t have a treat during the day. Our staff member for our rooms did provide non dairy canapés on an afternoon but mostly was shellfish which I don’t like but my husband enjoyed. I will feed back directly about the food.
The entertainment was outstanding, from cabaret, comedy, to magic.
The jewellery talks were really informative and I did end up buying a very bling sapphire ring. I love it. There was so much choice to do while at sea you were spoilt. We did take part at an extra cost in Deal or no deal. It was really good fun and definitely worth the gamble. A free cruise was up for grabs as well as cash prizes and vouchers for the casino.
Our shore excursions, especially the one in Puerto Vallarta were very good though we would have liked an extra half hour to walk along the promenade as there was some lovely sculptures and street art.
Overall this was an excellent cruise and I would really recommend.
We had a fantastic time around New Zealand & Australia on celebrity solstice the staff on board were totally amazing nothing was too much trouble. I didn't want to leave it was so good. We have been with many diff cruise lines but this was by far the best
We had a really fantastic cruise the crew were exceptional and soon learnt our names off by heart. Tasmania was such a lovely island and most of the tours we went on were very good. Food was top notch but seating capacity could be improved. Overall a wonderful experience
Solstice is an older ship probably due for some refurbishment. Our balcony cabin was clean and comfortable.
The buffet restaurant offered excellent choice and there was never any difficulty getting a table. The food in the main dining restaurant was good but we had to queue a while most days for dinner. At lunchtime you were crammed together in a corner to save the waiters walking any distance. This increased the risk of of Covid and was uncomfortable on a table for two as you were so close to your neighbours. The celebrity brand is all about upgrading and paying more. The included Wi-Fi was very limited and only allowed use of one device at a time. There was up selling of the drinks package which we did not find necessary. The basic drinks package offers a good selection . There are quite a few restaurants you cannot go unless your aqua class, have a suite or pay a supplement. This left the feeling of being a slightly second class citizen which is something I dislike. The itinerary was good, the shows an board were varied. Love the timing of the shows which allowed us to watch the 7 pm show first then have dinner later, (something that you often cannot do on other cruise lines). Really enjoyed the expert on board and her talks about the Alaskan wildlife - excellent lectures. The Captain announced one percent of passengers had Covid on board. There were very few Covid safeguards. We tested positive as soon as we got home as did others. It is difficult to avoid when mixing with but celebrity could definitely have some better safeguarding such as spacing the dining tables, masks in elevators and encouraging people not to share outside their group.
We had the holiday of a lifetime landing in Auckland and sailing around new Zealand before ending in Sydney the staff onboard were some of the best we have ever come across so kind and considerate that nothing was too much trouble to do. Having the same waiting staff at meal times was really good and after the 1st meal they knew our names such a fantastic experience
