Rome to Venice 7 nights. Second time on Allura. Food was excellent as always and ship still smells new. Staff very attentive love this line.
the ship is beautiful, excellent food, friendly service - cabin attendants, dining and cafes, reception, on deck etc. I cannot comment on bars ( do not drink alcohol and therefore seldom went into the bars, but partner said very good service. this cruise generally went well, comfortable ship to spend time on. although most of the personnel provide an excellent service, they are let down by very poor destinations (excursions) team. they were often unavailable and very inefficient, poor communication, cancelled pre-booked excursions at the last minute and did not offer alternatives. The choice of excursions was often poor, over-priced, very few shuttle buses provided if want to do own thing, and the "team" were not at all informed about the places that the ship stops, or about facilities onshore or about ideas of things to do on shore. as we are good walkers we did our own things but the destinations team make no effort to help with arranging things. we go on a cruise principally to see and do a wide variety of things, whilst also enjoying the comfort and practicality a moving base. We will not travel with Oceania again because of the low standard and poor attitude of the destinations team, although Riviera is a very beautiful boat, with otherwise good service as detailed above.

The cities were lovely and the countryside beautiful!
Great ship snd destination
Embarkation was the easiest and fastest we have ever experienced. The ship is beautiful. It is light and spacious and full of gorgeous artefacts. Our concierge balcony cabin was spacious and very comfortable, although it would have been improved by better drawer space. The bathroom was probably the most elegant we have had. The balcony itself was very spacious but lacked high backed furniture or footstools. There were two bucket type chairs and a small table -such a waste of such a lovely space.
All crew members that we came in contact with were delightful, from room stewards to restaurant staff and the boys who saw us safely on and off the tenders. The young Cruise Director was brilliant and the entertainment extremely good.
The food in all the restaurants was excellent. We normally avoid the Buffet on cruises because we hate the fight for tables and the scrummage around the service stations. This wasn't a problem at all on Vista and we ended up enjoying every breakfast and an occasional lunch there.
Ship beautiful staff excellent food in main restaurants not up to standard and disappointing. Special restaurants Ok .
Thoroughly enjoyed our first time with Seabourn
