First cruise ever. WOW why did I leave it so long? The Wprl at your feet is how I’d describe this trip. The places the staff the ease of booking . The food is such a treat. Lovely 🥰
When we arrived shipside we were not welcomed as if it was a luxury experience and had to struggle aboard with our suitcases.
The room was very noisy all day and long into the evening as we were just below the gym area. It was a very comfortable room with a sea view, but being on the 13th deck there was a huge overhang which hampered the view and we hadnt been made aware of either the noise issue or the restricted view.
We couldn't secure a booking at any restaurant until we complained about it near the end of the cruise. It seemed that loads of groups had booked up everything and we weren't the only ones complaining that we couldn't get availability at any restaurant at any time.
The comedians weren't funny at all and at the last gig I don't believe anyone there laughed once. The musicians were the same one almost every night and she seemed to have issues every single night and so only sang a one or two songs.
We felt the food in the individual restaurants wasn't the quality of our previous cruise and were quite disappointed with the menu. The galley was generally good though. We also felt the entertainment wasn't as good as our previous Virgin cruise.
Maybe we had high expectations as we had been a Virgin cruise before. We felt considering this was a cruise where most folk were 'indoors' most of the time Virgin could have tried a bit harder with the activities as if you dont like zumba or karaoke you are pretty much stuck.
Not sure I would pick Virgin again
Embarkation line was quite long, app to book was glitchy as always. Virgin crew and food outstanding. Would benefit from a few more day time activities
Great cruise. Lovely restaurants and food. Friendly staff. Was a UK cruise prior to going to the U.S so weather wasn’t great so couldn’t make use of the outdoor space as much as we would have liked. Cabins were lovely with great mood lighting and comfy beds. Fabulous shower! Great entertainment if you wished to see it. Lots of fitness classes. We particularly enjoyed the 80’s work out which was great fun! Would love to experience this cruise abroad with some lovely sunshine!
We sailed with virgin last year when the ship was in the uk (scarlet lady). We enjoyed it so much we are doing it again from the US. The food was amazing, from the grand meals right down to the snacks. The alcoholic drinks weren’t to my taste but they were fairly priced. The room was lovely and he service was amazing. I liked how the crew all looked like they were dressed very comfortably and were unique, as is the virgin style. The only thing that could be improved is the WiFi connection, which wouldnt be a problem on holiday normally but everything is booked through the app so it makes sense to have good wifi. The great thing about cruising with virgin is apart from alcoholic drinks everything is included so no need for tips or speciality restaurants
Beautiful ship, amazing food, service and crew, will definitely be cruising with VV again in the future.
great cruise liner, food was fabulous and it was like eating in an la carte restaurant every day. Shows and entertainment were amazing and the virgin voyages app was easy to use, i also loved the excursions.
We had an excellent cruise on Scarlet Lady despite the fact we were not in the agee bracket it was aimed at. It is a fun ship with excellent food. The entertainment was interesting! Our cabin was comfortable and the hammock on the balcony a nice touch.
My wife and I spent a rock star week on the new Virgin Voyages cruise ship Scarlet Lady and what a blast it was!
An Excellent Seacation along the south coast on a fun and lively ship.
Food and service was great and the entertainment was first class.
