Thoroughly enjoyed our first time with Seabourn
These are cruises which are exceptional and would be hard to beat.Every luxury you could want for attention unbeatable. Hard to compare to other cruise lines
Pampered beyond belief, have done many cruises, but this beat all expectations
Good Cruise Overall ,but management of the initial delay caused at Manchester ,via LHR en route to Lisbon was very POOR ! Passengers were "dumped" ant LHR and offerred a flight to Lisbon which would arrive after the ship left .Which would have meant going to Madiera and waiting 2 days for the ship to arrive .
One or 2 other niggles which the various key members of staff sorted out -admitting that they should not have occurred in the 1st place eg Cold food that should have been hot -several times
We were supposed to be going to Canaries, but weather was not suitable, so we toured from Lisbon to around Spain. Yes disappointing, but not the end of the world, although we had cruised this area late October with another cruise line. This was the most exceptional cruise we have ever been on, out of about thirty cruises. The food was fantastic ,everywhere you had a meal . As for the staff they were beyond, first rate. Down to house keeping to waiters chefs and maintenance. We never met anyone who didn’t greet us with a smile. I have to say we will find it hard to find another cruise line ,that could treat us so well. We will definitely use them again.
Several of the staff really went above and beyond to look after us -sadly it wasn`t true of all of them .
We did have a few problems so took the opportunity to complete the mid cruise questionairre .We were surprised it was 2 days later that we actually met a senior staff member face to face to discuss them . The problems were "acknowledged" with a promise that some could and would be rectified straight away -but others may take longer .
Our concerns over cold mid day poolside food there after disappeared ...
On our return we completed the end of cruise form online and asked for contact to further discuss the mid way comments and also about the overall cruise .We arrived home on March 12th and are still awaiting an email ,a call or any sign of a follow up .. As Seabourn Newbies , needles to say ,based on our experiences on over 30+ cruises with many other companies we are somewhat disappointed at the way that all the problems has been dealt with
