Er we’re travelling on Vision of the Seas from Baltimore. Ship is an older and smaller one in the fleet but despite this, cabin was spacious and a real plus was the cleanliness of the ship.
Limited facilities so no flow rider or ice rink, not even small crazy golf. Shuffle board (at an angle) was as exciting as it got, with badminton being played in centrum as no sports courts.
We were planning on a relaxing break and so lack of sports weren’t too much of a concern, however evening entertainment was a real let down. Shows of poor standard, no musical production, special guest stars were a let down. All of the above was not helped by such an old clientele who typically were on early dinner sitting and in bed by 9:30!
Quality of food was typically good and service in restaurant was excellent, but bar waiter service was very slow and could take up to half an hour from ordering a drink to receiving it.
I have no issue in sailing on an older ship but sadly this was more of a retirement home at sea - many guests simply stayed on ship to be looked after for months at a time. This is a great facility for some, but needs to be marketed as such. Not up to RCLs usual fun packed high quality offering.
This was a present for my wife's 60th birthday & our first cruise, a complete surprise for her. Everything about the cruise was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience & are looking forward to our next cruise
Good price but older ship you get what u pay for good value overall
This was a surprise 60th birthday present for my wife & the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The ship was lovely, the food great & the entertainment brilliant & the staff were fantastic throughout the whole 8 days. The place we visited were beautiful & amazing to see. It has made us yearn for more cruises
This is a cruise to celebrate my 70th birthday. Had 2 days in Barcelona before my cruise. Had inside cabin which was good lifeboat drill was on deck. Almost had to sit on my own for my birthday but found some nice people to celebrate. Food was good, shows as well, villafranche was a mess long queues for ticket machine and was packed. Toulon was better and did cable car. Ajaccio was good. Portofino lovely place. Rome I didn’t go into rome but civitivechia was lovely. Last port was Palermo a lovely tour despite not feeling great. Almost missed to bus back to ship. Had a lovely cruise
Ship was a little dated and food was average unfortunately. Itinerary and staff made up for this couldn't fault it.
A great cruise on a lovely ship. All the staff were amazing and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Food was amazing. Entertainment was great too...
