Cruise Itinerary
Day 1
Fly from the UK to New York City, USA
Fly from the UK and grab a cab or take the train at your convenience to the four-star New Yorker Hotel situated on 34th Street opposite Madison Square Garden and just steps away from Macy's Department Store. On the same street you can enjoy the views from the 86th Floor Observatory at the top of the Empire State Building as the sun sets over the horizon and the lights twinkle on.
Day 2
New York City, USA
A further overnight hotel stay. Wander around Central Park and go shopping on 5th Avenue to take advantage of the exchange rate and the lower prices. Visit Battery Park at the Southern tip of Manhattan and take some photos of the Statue of Liberty. If you have time - hop on a boat tour via the Statue of Liberty to the museum on Ellis Island. Finally visit Times Square at night before seeing a show on Broadway.
Day 3
New York City, USA
Make your own way to the nearby Manhattan cruise terminal to embark the ship
Days 4 - 6
At Sea
Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
Day 7
Basseterre, St Kitts
St Kitts is a member of the British Commonwealth and lies at the top of the Lesser Antilles chain close to Antigua. Cruise ships moor at the cruise pier called port Zante in the capital Basseterre right in front of the shops. Visit Brimstone Hill National Park known as the Gibraltar of the West Indies and the sister island of Nevis just a 45 minute ferry ride way. Get a good feel for the island on the scenic railway – originally built to transport sugar cane or chill out at one of the best beaches on the island Cockleshell Beach. This 2 mile stretch of white sand beach is relatively unspoilt and overlooks the island of Nevis. Try an invigorating natural Aloe Vera massage on the beach – it does wonders for your sunburn!!!
Day 8
Bridgetown, Barbados
This is one of the most popular islands for British holiday makers because of the incredible white sand beaches on the sheltered western side of the island and because it’s the only Caribbean Island to be colonised by one nation – the Brits! You will even find a Trafalgar Square here. Bridgetown is the capital lying in the South Western corner of the island. There is a large cruise dock where shuttle buses take you from the cruise ship to the terminal. The closest beach to the cruise terminal is Boatyard Beach - a white sand happening beach that is well equipped particularly in its Adventure Beach area with lots of things to do. There is an entrance charge which includes sunbeds and a free shuttle back to your ship. Barbados is famous for its Golf Courses – particularly at Sandy Lane, its cricket and perhaps take time out to visit Sunbury Plantation House over 300 years old.
Day 9
Castries, Saint Lucia
St Lucia is a lush tropical island and part of the Windward Island group. The capital is Castries in the North West and there is a lush verdant rain forest in the centre. This island is volcanic and is most famous for Les Pitons – two twin conical shaped mountains. St Lucia became part of the British Common wealth as recently as 1979. Unlike many islands - St Lucia is not wholly reliant on the cruise ships and it exports much of its produce such as bananas, coconut, cocoa, nutmeg and sugar cane. There are charming fishing villages, bustling markets, & stunning volcanic scenery. Check out picturesque Marigot Bay the location of many films, trek through the rainforest and take a refreshing dip in a waterfall or be adventurous and take a jungle top zip wire adventure. The best beach is Rodney Bay with its white sands or longer Reduit Beach - both north of Castries.
Day 10
St John, Antigua
Antigua is one of the top three Caribbean Islands for the British holiday maker – being a great destination in itself. Antigua has 365 beaches - one for every day of the year; the most popular ones being Galley Bay and Hawksbill Beaches. Antigua is extremely popular with the sailing fraternity with many marinas packed with expensive yachts. Nelson’s fleet was hosted in the late 1700’s in a picturesque bay on the other side of the island to the capital and is now one of the best-known bays for said sailing fraternity – now aptly named Nelson’s Dockyard.
Day 11
Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas
St Thomas is part of the US Virgin Islands and the duty free shopper’s paradise in the Caribbean. Charlotte Amalie is the capital – and this quaint town is a joy to walk around with its cobbled streets and alley ways filled with the best shops in the Caribbean – but not so much “in your face†as the other islands. Unlike most of the other islands this is the US of A in the Caribbean – it is clean, organised and well run; you may think that you are in one of the Florida Keys. The best beach is Magen's Bay (voted one of the top 10 beaches of the world) and is approximately six-miles away from the capital on the other side of the island.
Days 12 - 14
At sea
Relax and make the most of the myriad of facilities available on board the ship, from fantastic entertainment to delicious and diverse dining options.
Day 15
