VIVA Cruises fleet

Who should travel?
VIVA Cruises casts a wide net. Headquartered in Germany, it has built a genuinely international passenger base, drawing guests from across German-speaking countries, Scandinavia, the UK, the US and beyond.
Age-wise, it skews younger than the river cruising norm, with shorter itineraries designed for those with limited annual leave and an all-inclusive pricing model that removes the guesswork for first-timers.
Families are well catered for, too. Don’t expect the sprawling children’s clubs of ocean megaships, but there are real perks. For example, children aged 15 and under receive a 30 per cent discount on shore excursions.

Cruise destinations
VIVA Cruises sails rivers across Europe. That includes the most popular waterways, such as the Danube, Douro, Rhine, Rhône, Moselle, Main and Seine, with departure ports such as Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Paris, Amsterdam, Passau and Basel.
It also cruises lesser-sailed waters, including the Elbe and Vltava in Central Europe, with itineraries taking in Saxon Switzerland and Prague. In 2027, VIVA will also debut on Italy’s Po River, departing from Venice.

Dining
Many of VIVA’s ships feature two or three restaurants. Typically, this includes its signature RIVERSIDE Restaurant, where guests can enjoy multi-course menus, a more informal option such as VIVA’s Bistro, and the fine dining venue MOMENTS. On VIVA BEYOND, Michelin-starred chef David Görne creates the recipes for the latter.
VIVA also offers a selection of culinary-themed cruises, with excursions to farms, artisan producers and cellars that get to the heart of a region’s gastronomy.

Inclusions
One of the things that sets VIVA Cruises apart is its all-inclusive approach to cruising. As standard, guests can expect:
- Welcome sparkling wine in your cabin
- Full board in all restaurants
- High tea once a cruise
- Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
- A well-stocked in-cabin mini bar
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
- Gratuities for the whole crew
- At least one shore excursion
