As a rule, river cruising tends to be a little less formal than classic ocean cruising, and VIVA Enjoy is no exception. For dinner in one of its three restaurants, opt for smart casual. Swimwear and flip flops are discouraged, and gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers, but otherwise, anything you’d feel comfortable wearing in a boutique hotel is a safe bet. Think a linen blazer with chinos, a silk blouse with dark jeans, or wide-legged trousers with a fitted tee.
The exception is the multi-course gala dinner hosted in Riverside, typically once per cruise depending on your itinerary, when guests tend to dial up the pizzazz without going full black tie. For women, an elegant cocktail dress or elevated jumpsuit work well. For men, a jacket with a shirt and tailored trousers do the trick. To avoid feeling underdressed, it’s best to save your jeans and trainers for another night.
