Wonderful time. Excellent food, staff and entertainment. Cabins a little dated and aircon not always working but overall very happy and going on another Ambasader cruise this August. Very sad that this will be the last multi-generation cruise as Ambassader are no longer doing them. My family and I have loved all our cruises with Ambassader.
Excellent food and service, entertainment shows were the best I have seen on any cruise, sea day activities could have been a few more but some innovative ideas such as the cruise passenger choir was great with a performance in the atrium on the last sea day. Also acting vignettes around the ship and plays in the theatre on sea days. This was a cruise to hopefully see the Northern lights and we did on three nights. There were excellent talks on what to expect and everything from the science to the mythology of the Northern lights.
I would have liked more live music in the atrium. Excursions were good and reasonably priced compared to some other cruise lines. Many were per-booked to full before we even boarded but they did have a wait list and added extra coaches/guides when they could. Drinks packages not worth it for light drinkers so we paid as we went. Tilbury port was basic, embarkation smooth unless you got there early which they are not set up for - warned as such in the advance information. Parking is close and porters took our cases. Cabin was fine (balcony) although the heating and aircon was temperamental, dealt with once reported to reception. Overall one the best cruises I've experienced in 15 years.

Great destinations … Carribean islands so a great taster cruise to research where to go another time…. Ship well run and excellent entertainment, but layout of pools a disappointment but not something that could be easily changed. Staff less attentive than on Fred Olsen, but still great service and food. Everything kept nice and clean despite being an older ship. Tours very competitively priced too. Great first time cruise with Ambassador but shame Trumps antics meant we missed our Cuba ( it had been that which had swung our choice between Fred 35 days and Ambassador 40 days including 🇨🇺 Cuba in the first place )
After years of saying we would never go on a cruise we finally took the plunge and booked our cruise with Ambassador, from start to finish it was a delight. The staff and service were second to none especially with our so who has Parkinson's, at buffet his plate was filled and taken to his table for him as his hands were shaking. The ship was spotless and the staff always had a smile. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked to sail with them next year.
We had the most fabulous cruise, staff were amazing, everything was perfect!
1st class cruise staff excellent food 5* entertainment brilliant. My second cruise with ambience this year can’t wait to my next trip with them. Nothing too much trouble.
Third time in Ambassador, lovely staff, slower pace and most (bar a few entitled) fellow cruisers were very social too. Food above average. Excursions could so with some better planning , a bit of a bun fight getting off the ship, all they need to do is allocate people to coaches and stagger them off out of the theatre in 5 minutes intervals, rather than having 10 coach loads trying to fight their way off.
Had a deluxe suite with separate bedroom courtesy of upgrade programme, excellent .
