My husband and I boarded Anthem of the Seas to the Canary Islands which was an excellent choice for the time of the year. The ship is amazing whatever age as there’s something for everyone. The main dining room was excellent with a great choice of food and the service was first class everywhere on the ship ..what more could you ask for. RCI always have first class entertainment and they didn’t disappoint. Loved the cruise so much that we decided to book another cruise on Anthem for 2023. The best cruise ship we’ve ever experienced that care for their passengers.
We took our 7 year old twins on this cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. We had worried that they might not enjoy it but we couldn’t have been more wrong. The facilities onboard for all age groups but particularly for families were just fantastic. The children enjoyed rock wall climbing, The I-flyer, the pools and a couple of sessions in the kids club during sea days. The food was great, the entertainment fantastic and the accommodation comfortable and relaxing. Thoroughly recommend
This was a 13 night trip from the UK to New jersey. The food, service, staff on board were all excellent. Yhe cabin was more than acceptable and was kept spotless by the housekeeping staff. Yje entertainment was the usual high standard.
Great cruise good ports all with easy access to the towns. Staff were excellent and speciality restaurants were fabulous
At first I was sceptical as the ships public areas appeared tired and a bit grubby. However once in our cabin I was happier, it was really nice, even though the shower base was chipped. The staff onboard could not do enough, RC should be very proud of them. The bar staff at Bolero were out of this world. The variety of food in the Wayfarer was limited but well presented. Deck and Pool areas were very good. All in all we enjoyed our 12 days aboard.
The bar staff in vintages were brilliant and our cabin steward was exemperally and the shows were really good and the solarium bistro the staff went far and beyond and the food was excellent
Very easy check in and departure, lots of help in Southampton with luggage. Fantastic service from all crew onboard, always happy, friendly and smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic service from waiters in the restaurants we dined in even remembering our drinks choices! Choice of ports was great visiting some brilliant places including Barcelona, Palma and our favourite, overnight in Lisbon. Plenty of things to keep you busy on board and lots of places to relax if you wanted. Fabulous all round!!
The Service was brilliant, the food was amazing, the shows where incredible. To be honest, I couldn't fault it.
Ship too enclosed. Not enough seating outside. Fab staff.
Overall very enjoyable, cost of drinks on board very expense not helped by poor dollar to pound exchange. Excursion costs very expensive but not necessary on fjords cruise as you can just explore on your own.
This was a cruise from Southampton to the Norwegian Fjords.
Embarkation at Southampton was very long and tedious. There were very long queues waiting to get into the port terminal and like everyone else, we had to wait in line in the rain. Once on board everything went smoothly. I took advantage of RCCL cabin auction service a couple of week before departure and was lucky enough to bag a balcony cabin from our booked inside cabin for the minimum auction amount. The cabin was great, quite big and a lovely big balcony.
The 3 main things I look forward to when cruising (I have done over 37 cruises) is, being spoilt with good food in the restaurant (MDR) - tick, Great entertainment - tick and ports of call - tick.
The ship is big and was very busy. I would suggest it was probably 90% full. The weather in the Norwegian Fjords s much better than expected, which made for more enjoyable stays. I was disappointed that since booking the cruise they changed the policy of totally free use of the Skydive (Ripcord by iFly) and the North Star. However r speaking with customer services before the cruise they advised me that we could still get 2-minute Skydive whilst the ship was in a port and likewise we could have a flight in three North Star whilst the ship was in a port. We did both these things, which were very enjoyable particularly the 2-minute Skydive. To be honest 2 minutes was probable enough. Liam, as instructor made us feel very safe and was very professional.
The drinks on Anthem of the Seas were quite expensive and is surprised that there was no free drinks available on gala nights, welcome aboard parties etc.
Is ill for a full 24hrs with severe sickness and diarrhoea android when I reported it they confined me to my cabin and tested me for corona virus. That came back negative but we knew it would, it was Nora virus and hand sanitising was more stringent, we noticed, After my illness as apparently I want the only person to get ill??? I want charged anything for my care in the cabin, which I suppose it's good news.
Overall a good cruise with friends ... Another one ticked of our bucket list.
