Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise even though the Atlantic was a little choppy.
First cruise experience - very enjoyable!
We have been on many cruises, and this was one of the most memorable ones we have experienced. Superb.
There was so much to do on board it was perfect for solo travellers, those who prefer not to go ashore and for days at sea.
Azores and Iceland Whale and dolphins watching to see them in the wild was unbelievable fantastic experience. Never to be forgotten.
a very good cruise staff very helpful food and entertainment first class
We immensely enjoyed our cruise to the Norwegian fjords in May. Norway is a very beautiful country and the itinerary covered many of the most scenic and interesting sights. We maybe would have liked a bit more time in Bergen. As well as taking us through some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe, the cruise was very relaxing. The excursions were most enjoyable and good value for money. The ship is very well appointed and there was entertainment every night; it also has a choice of restaurants. Embarkation and disembarkation was very well organised and ran very smoothly.
In respect of dining, I think we enjoyed the breakfasts the most as there was such a wide range of choices and we could have as much as we wanted. The lunches were good too. In the dinners in the evening the food was of good quality but the portions tended to be on the small side, which is why I have only given dining three stars. We would cruise with Fred. Olsen again and would certainly love to go to Norway again.
Very enjoyable experience.
Fabulous crew - helpful and pleasant
Cruise was good value but the excursions were overpriced especially the Atlantic Road which was a pure rip off.
15 night cruise from Liverpool to the Canaries and Madeira. Embarkation was the only unsatisfactory part of the cruise, partly covid related. Took over 3 hours from parking to boarding with a long cold wait in an arena. Disembarkation was excellent.
Comfortable Superior Ocean View cabin. Excellent food with plenty of choices. Excellent nightly entertainment with plenty of variety in the shows, plus great choice of live music in several locations round the ship. Plenty of enrichment options on sea days to keep you occupied, e.g. Ukulele, Bridge, cookery demos, talks about destinations, quizzes...
Staff always friendly and helpful.
Excursions were good. Main concern is that the age profile of guests means that more active options do not always get the numbers that are required for the trip to run. We were therefore unable to enjoy the "levada walks" in Madeira or the "sunset on Mount Teide". If a trip is advertised, it ought to run as the trips are part of your reason for booking the holiday!
We recommend Fred Olsen to anybody who wants to cruise.
Having cruised on other operators the service with Fred Olsen is far better. Every single member of staff could not be more helpful and polite. they make every passenger feel special.
Enjoyed our cruise to the Norwegian Fjords enormously. The itinerary was ideal and we loved the beauty of the fjords, so much so that I keep watching videos of them on YouTube. The ship, and our cabin, was very comfortable and the ship was well run. Embarkation and disembarkation was very smooth and efficient. We would love to go back.
I have only given 3 stars for the dining because, at our main dinner in the evening, the portions were often on the small side. However, lunches were OK and the choice and service at breakfast were excellent.
Beautiful, relaxing, interesting.
Wonderful crew and service.
Even better … we saw the Northern Lights and lots of wildlife.
Brilliant trip!
