Food was fantastic, didn’t have a bad meal anywhere and plenty of choice.
Not enough sun-beds on sea days.
My biggest complaint was there wasn’t much sport for women, only table tennis.
There is a lovely sports area on the top deck but only basketball, football and cricket was played here. I am a tennis player and would have loved to be able to play tennis every day.
The cabins are smaller than the Azura and Ventura as there wasn’t any bedside drawers each side of the bed.
An enjoyable cruise but noticeable that standards on board have dropped. Niceties such as bed turning, chocolates on the bed and with coffee in the dining room have ceased and whilst the food was good portion sizes have reduced. The range of drinks offered in all bars and restaurants has dramatically reduced and we were constantly told that advertised drinks were not available.
The My Holiday app should be abandoned as most of the time it didn't work and when it did it wasn't operated by staff which made it a waste of time. Being unable to book a specialist restaurant for a special occasion in advance meant that we were unable to celebrate our special event due to incorrect advice at reception and then not being able to get a table until considerably later than we wanted to eat in the restaurant we favoured.
The daily events programmes were rather uninspiring but evening entertainment improved in the second week. The entertainment staff especially the Manager were noticeable by their absence and communication about change of venue for outside events cancelled by bad weather were non existent.
The Atrium was sadly underused being an ideal space for more entertainment
We still managed to enjoy the cruise overall but P&O need to address these issues
My first, my husbands second, cruise.
I was a little apprehensive as I am new to foreign travel but the whole experience was first rate. The ship was big but not one of these giant ships now available. Staff were pleasant and helpful throughout, lovely outside cabin with balcony, very clean, excellent food. Looking forward to another P&O cruise which we booked through Trailfinders.
Great ship with great food and all home comforts. However, slightly understaffed and certainly a cutback in the number of entertainers. The Cookery Club was excellent and the Dinner/ Cabaret was great value - thoroughly enjoyed. Although it was stated due to covid, the black tie nights were slightly underwhelming as no crew were present - we do like the Captain's presentation on the first black tie night. Altogether good value.
Brilliant Cruise, service, staff, suite, everything was very good
What a fantastic ship Brittania is. I had such a wonderful time. The staff are hardworking and so nice , friendly and polite.
I stated in an outside cabin with balcony with 2 friends for my 60th birthday.
This was my first cruise, only wish I had done it before. Already planning the next one
Really enjoyed the cruise. The entertainment was very good. We didn't have the drinks package but we thought the drinks on board were reasonably priced. The wifi package was ridiculously expensive. I thought the dinner portions were smaller than before the pandemic. Food was very good on the formal evenings. Especially enjoyed Burns Night.
P + O have cut back on several things due to attempting to keep the prices of the cruises down my main one was steward services not the stewards fault just to little time to see to everything food good but not the quality it used to be . staff as usual where wonderful a big thank you to the reception staff .
As a frequent solo cruiser it can sometimes be difficult to meet other solos and to have company particularly in the evenings but P&O always ensure there are opportunities to meet.
On this particular cruise the staff also acknowledged our group doing their very best to accommodate our needs especially when dining
I'm sorry for the 1 star as I've never been cruising I can not say if its good or not but I would love to think if I ever got the chance to sample a cruise it would be a great experience giving me a lot to write about.
P&O is sadly not what it once was. So many cuts in service and ship too big. On board a very different experience, people no longer dressing appropriately for dinner on black tie nights. Men entering the self service restaurant without a shirt, and literally fighting over deck chairs! Not the 5* experience it once was. But good value for money.
Great caribbean cruise, we had been on a similar cruise on Azura 3 years ago but Britannia impressed us from the start. The public areas were spacious, although on sea days it could be a problem finding sunbathing space on deck unless you were up early. The food was good with a good choice and the service was excellent. We had more rain than we have experienced before at this time of year but that's just one of the things you have expect going to the Caribbean befor Christmas. Overall we had a lovely time and are thinking of booking again .
