This was my first cruise and my friend and I had fun. The port days were nice, but I'd like to focus more on the ship itself. The Infinite Veranda room was great; we were on deck seven and loved our "balcony". The room was clean and pleasant. The beds were comfortable, the lights and climate were easy to control, and there were loads of clever design features to save space and provide ample storage. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The captain made amusing announcements, the room attendant was kind and helpful, and everyone was welcoming. The ship had nifty features; I especially liked the pool on the deck. Some of the ship, such as the lower exteriors of the outdoor hot tubs, need maintenance as they look grubby and old from sunbleaching. Despite that appearance, the ship was very clean. The extras, such as excursions and services, were very expensive and the food was good, but not great. We ate in one of the main dining rooms on one occasion and then ate at the Oceanview Cafe exclusively, as my main at the Cosmopolitan was really bad. We liked having more choices at the buffet anyway. The poached eggs and cut up fruit in the cafe were very nice amd served up by kind staff. Another amenity that I enjoyed was room service, who brought us coffee each morning. We went to a comedy even which was fun and there were silent discos, a casino, parties, cocktail bars, theatre shows, and more. I would have liked to go to one of the game shows - next time!

The best of Edge series has come to the Solstice class in this revamp of Solstice. A great itinerary of Bali & Australian ports. The best celebrity service on board from staff who remember you & your favourite requests. Can’t wait to see the other Solstice class ships get similar facelifts. Would definitely repeat this itinerary & any others on the Celebrity Solstice.

Celebrity Ascent is a beautiful ship but the set up for an Infinity Balcony spoilt it .The balcony is more like an extension to the stateroom. rather than a balcony We were 5 couples travelling together and in the past able to communicate with each other from our balconies which we weren’t able to do Being on a cruise round the Caribbean it would have been better to have an open balcony . I can understand it might be useful if sailing in bad weather but it spoilt our experience and several fellow passengers agreed with us. Also the Main Dining room was very very very dark and as there were 10 of us on a table it spoiled our enjoyment of dinner, not really being able to communicate very well with each other especially one of our party who wears hearing aids and lip reads.Excellent service and otherwise lovely surroundings Just a shame marred by these 2 issues.

We loved our first cruise on Celebrity Solstice.
Celebrity Solstice gad just undergone a major refurbishment when we sailed on her on 2nd March 2026. Everything felt new and fresh. The food was great in the main dining room, and the buffet was one of the best I've experienced on a cruise. Entertainment was ok, nothing spectacular, but we still enjoyed it. The bars were never too busy, and we never waited more than 5 mins for a drink. Balcony cabin was spacious and felt new after the refurb. Staff very good in all areas. This was our first time sailing with Celebrity, and we really enjoyed our Thailand-Vietnam cruise on Solstice.

A short 4 night cruise which we really enjoyed. Had an interior room which was more spacious than we thought it would be. The food was really good with lots of choice. The crew were all lovely and very helpful. Lovely ship, and always something to do if you wanted to.
