Celebrity Infinity is a medium-sized ocean resort ship operated by Celebrity Cruises, which launched in 2001 and was last refitted in 2021. It has capacity for 2,170 guests across 1,085 cabins with 997 crew members on hand to help.
Expect a ship of a manageable size, that delivers space and facilities without feeling crowded. Children are welcomed on board Celebrity Infinity.
On board, ten restaurants and eating venues, including four complimentary venues and six available for a supplement, are on offer. There are also nine bars and lounges for guests to enjoy.
Celebrity Infinity has a selection of cabins that run the gamut, with 1,085 cabins across 20 accommodation categories. That includes inside and outside options. What's included can differ significantly depending on the category you opt for.
A sail around the Greek Islands and Ephesus. In Turkey. Stater and finish at Piraeus. Usual Celebrity high standard although slightly disappointed in the shows and while of a high standard we have had better meal choice on Celebrity before. These account for the four star rather than the five star we expect from Celebrity.
Sailing from Athens on the Celebrity Infinity was the perfect start to our honeymoon. From the moment we boarded, everything looked well-kept, clean and of a high standard.
We had a Prime AquaClass stateroom, which was comfortable, spacious enough, and gave us a fantastic view from the balcony. It was a lovely space to come back to after long port days.
Dining was a real highlight. We used the buffet most mornings, but dinners in Blu stood out - excellent service, delicious meals, and portions larger than we expected. What really made it memorable was how the staff paid attention, remembered our preferences, and even tailored their suggestions as the week went on.
Because the itinerary was so port-intensive, we skipped the evening shows, instead enjoying quiet time at Café al Bacio or relaxing in the Solarium. Kusadasi ended up being the biggest surprise and our favourite port stop, with a tour that gave us a real taste of Turkey.
Overall service across the ship was warm, friendly, and attentive. The only weak spot was the Spa, which felt disorganised and underwhelming compared with the rest of the experience - the promised Spa concierge never appeared, and the Persian Garden felt tired.
As it was our honeymoon, Celebrity added a thoughtful touch with a bottle of bubbly and a signed card from guest relations. Combined with the attentive stateroom attendant, it made the trip feel special.
The ship itself was easy to navigate once we got used to Deck 11, and everything looked fresh and well maintained. It felt relaxed rather than crowded, which suited the atmosphere we wanted.
In short, this cruise gave us exactly the honeymoon we hoped for: memorable ports, excellent food, great service, and a relaxing ship. Despite a few hiccups in the Spa, the overall experience was incredible - good enough that we’ve already booked another Celebrity cruise, this time for my mum’s 60th.
We chose Celebrity for this cruise as the itinerary suited our needs to extend in Athens. Embarkation was awful with long delays at Piraeus sitting in a tent with no information and missing our Concierge embarkation lunch. Once on board, our cabin was ok, average size with sufficient storage. We caught norovirus on day 2 thanks to others on our coach excursion not staying in their cabin as they said they felt ill. We missed Turkey and our longed-for trip to Ephesus, hundreds of passengers caught it, the medical centre couldn't cope with the numbers and our steward wouldn't bring us any water to our cabin when we were ill, we had to call the concierge. So many passengers were ill in the corridors and even outside the dining room. No cleaning of public areas until hundreds of passengers were ill. We now know that norovirus had been on board before we embarked and no deep cleaning done. Inspectors came on board after we had all disembarked in Piraeus. Food wasn't good throughout cruise, buffet served uncooked (raw) koftas and allergens were served to us in MDR when they knew what we couldn't eat. Ports we could visit once we had recovered were lovely, Rhodes was our favourite. Needless to say, we won't be cruising Celebrity again.
We had quite a few problems onboard, including a steam pipe bursting, flooding a floor and 26 rooms, breaking down more than once at sea, no water, or flushing toilets and power in our suite overnight.
After this happened, the electric was affected and during the day, sailing from Barcelona, fire doors were affected throughout the ship and started shutting and opening in everyones faces, causing many injuries, most minor and I myself trapped my hand in one of the doors, it wasnt serious but enough to cause me pain through out the holiday, bruised and cut my knuckles and caused me to be escorted down to the medical room to see the nurse and doctor for treatment and where I also had to have a tetanus jab. Another of the officers approached me and my husband in the medical centre and informed me I couldnt possibly have got my hand stuck as the door wouldnt allow that, to be quite honest that upset me very much, when it happened I was screaming at my husband to help me as my hand was stuck on the handle in the wall and I was fearful that my hand was going to be crushed or cut off! So to tell me it wasnt possible was frustrating and made me angry especially when he started laughing.
We experienced further breakdowns, and smoke was seen on one of the corridors, making me anxious at night, repeatedly waking up and checking if the boat was moving or not, causing me anxiety and stress.
I booked this particular cruise because of the itinerary, the overnight stay in Porto was what I was looking forward to most of all, unfortunately we had to stay in Malaga to carry out repairs to the ship, which was understandable but disappointing. So the Porto overnight was cancelled.
My husband started with a respritory infection on the last day, which made our home coming difficult, he is just recovering now.
I am sure you understand that our cruise wasnt what we hoped for and this was a special cruise for me as my 60th birthday celebrations were while we were onboard, which the retreat staff, head butler, Allain, Milka, retreat host and our attendant Rudi, did their very best to make it special, and tried to make me comfortable while experiencing pain.
Several of our cruise buddies went down with D&V and on the last day we had a letter in our room asking us if we had experienced GI problems.
It was a disappointment and a disaster at times and not the special occasion that we had hoped for.
The ship is a little tired in places and The food was OK but nothing special! Boarding in Valparaiso was terrible. The main theatre group were excellent.
This was my third cruise as was the best one out of them all!! We had the best time, it was for our honeymoon and we were made to feel so special!! Champagne, flowers and chocolates were left in our beautiful cabin which had beautiful views! The staff were amazing, the ship was fantastic, so big that I don't think we actually saw all of it! Cannot fault the food, was delicious and a great variety! Lots to do on board and excursions were available or could just roam the places by yourselves! We will definitely be booking again very soon!! Cannot recommend enough!!
