Sadly too much "holiday camp" & not enough quality.
Rooms good (esp bathrooms). Staff very good. Helpful & very charming. Food pretty good, just not enough variety & occasionally not hot enough. Entertainment a mixed bag. Theatre crew..brilliant, so talented. Pianists on board..v.good. Live band & solo guitarists..too loud, out of tune & painful to listen to at times.
Excursions..overpriced & uninspiring.
Overall, a packed ship with too many passengers who don't know when to stop eating or drinking. Plus the lack of quieter spaces outdoors to escape the constant "Hi De Hi", we won't be choosing Marella again....
A fantastic cruise line. The staff are amazing. There are no words to explain there hard work and the level of friendliness.
Had an amazing two weeks travelling with them.
On the whole a good cruise . The staff were fabulous.friendly and helpful. The cabin was spacious clean and tidy with a nice balcony , however these had just been updated and due to supply issues there was no sofas or chairs and the only place to sit was on the bed Good food but there were some issues with the availability of some of the wines .
From start to finish the experience was fantastic. Staff always there to look after you. Cleanliness top marks. Entertainment superb. Food out of this world. Hoping to get away again this May 2023.
The ship was very good, except one or two of the wash rooms were not always working. Food was good and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The room was an inside cabin and was plenty big enough and plenty of room for clothes. The cabin stewards were excellent.
Pool area was a little noisy. Drinks service around the ship was excellent.
Shows were good.
The excursions were ok, the Pompeii and Sorrento excursion from Napoli was very interesting and well worth the money. The excursion to Rome was described as being very good for people visiting Rome for the first time, however we were left for approx 2 hours without any maps of Rome to fend for ourselves before visiting Vatican City after an initial drive past viewing of some of some of Romes attractions. Vatican city was very interesting however the guide talked to much.
enjoyed the cruise the cabin was first class and the we had a lovely young lady looking after us on 8th floor the food in the self service was very good but the dining room slightly disappointing the specialty dining was much better you had to book. the trips were your choice, top deck was large lovely pool and so was the smaller pool in the glass house were the snacks were excellent, I am sure we would travel with this ship again if it is going were we fancy our next trip
An all around great cruise with only a couple of inconveniences the main problem was the layout of the ship, no toilets on the main entertainment floors, the only other thing I could fault was the entertainment schedule was not very well planned, both minor things as we still had a fantastic time and it certainly wouldn't stop us going on this ship again.
All cruise travellers had to pay extra for COVID tests but what was the point when other aeroplane passengers did not. Consequently, my husband and I both developed COVID symptoms which ruined our summer. Apart from that the cruise was good but nowhere near as good as pre COVID.
Our room was directly under the restaurant so between 11pm and 1230am it was really noisy where they were clearing away a lot of banging.
Excursions are not worth the money after the first one we cancelled the rest.
Food in the restaurants was amazing but the buffet food wasn't up to standard and not enough choice.
Fantastic in everything
Very good cruise visiting France Italy and Spain ship clean but soon being upgraded staff very helpful and polite room staff as always very professional
First cruise ever done. The food was very repetitive and hardly any choice for vegetarians. They often ran out of non alcoholic drinks and alcoholic drinks. Staff onboard were lovely. Great entertainment plenty to choose from.
Plenty of sun beds to choose from. Room was very clean and tidy at all times.
