They chased my tail for extra $ from beginning to final curtain. I want to be spoiled without feeling purse strings being pulled at every turn.
Nothing wrong with cruise just this attitude which infected ALL aspects.
A few excursions were under $100, maybe 10%. A constant barrage of raffle tickets, this and that promo.
Went to art auction- some stuff allegedly about $100,000 retail to punters who paid $100/nt for cruise. Sparkling plonk flowed. Ta for that!
Library was quiet comfortable space.
Free Food- 5 choices with 24hr pub.
$20/nt asked for tips + $6/tray room service- I agreed $11/day total.

This was chosen for itinerary. Because the ship never tied up all going ashore was by RIBs sitting on the rubber edge which couldnt go if more than a ripple, hence we missed a lot of ports of call. The ship was noisy and not good in not all not that very rough sea. The cabin very Spartan with no drawers and bed so high my wife needed help to get in and out. The ship needed to make long convoluted journeys at night with much tossing about and clanking. We are seasoned sailors and not bothered but some were very anxious. When questioned it was to discharge “grey” water. Surely this didn’t need doing every single night. There were a lot of people on board for the itinerary element not the expedition. The food was good. When boat was tossing about buffet meals were put on. Great fun watching poor souls with crutches trying to get to their seats and then getting food. The waiters were willing to help but with a buffet you need to know what there is. One good point of the trip was we actually got to St Kilda but after that …………
The passengers seemed to be divided into Hurtigruten afficienados and those of us who couldn’t wait to disembark. This was the worst cruise we have ever been on
Although the cruise was disrupted by avoiding and the after effects of a hurricane it was handled well. Port changes had to be made due weather damage at some original destinations. This was well handled and well communicated.
We had more sea, days than planned as we had to skip 2 destinations. Would have been good to arrive somewhere early.
Everything is good, but
Food a bit over hyped
Shower unbelievably small
Tours and drinks very expensive
On other hand basic wifi, service Charges and soft drinks included. Bulgari soaps and a,bottle of champagne were nice touches
An absorbing cruise To Canada in which we experienced the tail of a hurricane. The weather damage ashore resulted in changes in ports. All the disruption was managed well with good communication throughout. Replacement ports were well chosen and we received great welcomes.
The need for some additional sea days was also well handled as was the COVID protection requirements necessary for a longer cruise and Canadian Authorities. The colours of Fall and scenic landscape all added to making it a successful cruise.
It was a birthday and the cruise line made it very special. We chose a Yacht club suite. Other passengers asked if it was worth the extra cost and in my opinion the answer is a resounding YES.
