Enchanted trips with comfort unforgettable memories.
The crew worked extremely hard and were anxious to ensure everything was perfect. The only snag was there was nowhere to relax except in the cabin( though excellent) or the lounge. With no quiet area we found ourselves trying to play bridge while games were organised with instructions relayed on a loud sspeaker, and in the evening found it hard to converse with others due to the entertainer singing into a loud speaker. I must say the entertainer was fulfilling his brief and worked hard. It was only the ships layout at fault.
Very good, all crew and staff very pleasant and helpful. Nothing too much trouble.
Entertainment was poor. Most Evenings on pianist who was not very good at keeping audience interested and active. TV in room lacked Films only BBC news all other channels European. Once Dinner was over it was find your book. Some local Entertainment came on Board but not of any quality. First River Cruise always used Cruise Ships. Will not be in hurry to use River Cruises again at Festive Season. Fire Works New Years EVE were excellent.
We chose Castle and vineyards of the Rhine as our first ever saga voyage and river cruise. We were absolutely delighted with arrangements from the pick up at the start of the cruise to our return home a week later. The outward flight to Amsterdam and return from basel were delayed by an hour but our lower deck accommodation, food, included 3 excursions and hand held "quiet voice" personal audio guide system were excellent. The dining room service was enthusiastic but a little sluggish because of covid staffing difficulties, but captain Ari was superb team leader in that he helped deliver luggage to our room and joined in dancing and entertaining us, as well as superbly navigating us through the numerous locks. Excellent value for money and very interesting itinerary. Highly recommended.
