Silversea, known for its fleet of boutique, all-suite ships, has partnered with PerryGolf, a tour operator specialising in luxury golf holidays founded by two Scottish brothers. Together, the two brands have launched a collection of itineraries designed to offer port-to-putt experiences on top-ranked courses.
Examples include the Royal Liverpool Golf Club in England, which has hosted the Open 13 times, Camiral Stadium Course in Spain, due to host the Ryder Cup in 2031, and Cabot Highlands (Castle Stuart) in Scotland, known for its infinity-edge greens that appear to drop directly into the sea.
If you’re inclined to travel further afield, bucket-list-worthy courses await Down Under, too. Silversea will sail itineraries designed to showcase the best golfing in New Zealand, including Otago Golf Club, the oldest in the Southern Hemisphere, and Cape Kidnappers Golf Course, perched 140 metres above the Pacific and featuring dramatic cliff-edge fairways and sweeping ocean views.
The service provided by PerryGolf will include pre-arranged tee times with green fees covered, transfers from ship to course, on-course dining and hands-free equipment care from embarkation to disembarkation. That’s on top of a social aspect, with welcome and farewell receptions, onboard gatherings and friendly tournaments with awards.
Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea, says, “Silversea is built on giving guests access to experiences that go beyond what most travel can offer. Our partnership with PerryGolf extends that standard to golf – placing guests on some of the world’s most celebrated courses, with every detail managed and every comfort included.”
Cruises currently on offer include:
The British Isles featuring the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, sailing round-trip from Southampton on Silver Spirit, with Royal Liverpool, Prince’s Golf Club, Portstewart, Cabot Highlands and Dumbarnie Links.
Spain featuring Valencia and Mallorca, sailing round-trip from Barcelona on Silver Ray, with Camiral Stadium Course, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, Son Gual Golf Mallorca and Club de Golf Alcanada.
