having been on Brittania many times we found p&o going downhill.Food not to usual standard, ship getting a little tired ,I know we are going through bad times but service not as good as usual
Trial first time went to bruze Belgium liked the cruising , enjoyed a lot , planned another holiday
Second time Norway , fantastic experience .
Third time went to France , Spain and Netherlands
And Had great time with p&o three time experience. Booked again to go to canary islands bad luck pandamic started . Me and my husband Love cruising. Love to try other cruises aswell in the feature.
This was a 3 day seacation and a taster for P&O, not having travelled with them before.
Embarkation was excellent.
We had booked a twin but cabin was made up as double. We contacted reception and were told 'speak to your steward when you see him' - not very proffessional!
Getting a drink in the lounges took ages. Although the tables were cleared they were never wiped clean. Spillages left on the tables.
Dinner a shambles - we were told we could get a table quicker if we didn't mind sharing. Not a problem - we expected to share. The problem was that we had to wait 20-30minutes for other people to join us.
The buffet area ran out of green tea bags - I checked every area without success but when i approached a crew member I was told to look around the other service areas. i explained that I already had so eventually more were grudgingly brought out.
Disembarking was well organised as were parking facilities.
Our cabin steward was excellent. Overall, I was not encouraged to book P&O again in a hurry.
Amazing holiday despite Covid restrictions. The drew were fantastic, accommodating and helpful.
We were on the first cruise out of Southampton on board Britannia to cruise to the Caribbean, although the testing was testing but essential for the safety of your staff and passengers, it was only half full to allowing for social distancing, the excursions were again a little more days due to covid restrictions but everyone did their job, overall a great trip as I have come to expect from P&O.
At 71 and 70 my first ever cruise for my wife's birthday I can't put it in words if I could live on the ship it was so good the staff and everyone on board was so good looking for the next one xxxxx
Our last cruise was a staycation and was fantastic as always only gripe was service at Java was not good.
Excellent cruise around the Caribbean on P&O Britannia. Fantastic itinerary, calling at Aruba and Curaçao. Great on board service and evening entertainment. If I have one criticism it would be the choice of menu in the main restaurants, we found the choices far better in the buffet. The ship was sailing well under capacity so queuing was not an issue
Had a lovely time, good food, excellent service and staff. One of the excursions was spoilt by too much free rum being consumed by some passengers (Cruise to the Pitons, St Lucia), turning into a booze cruise. The other excursions were very good (St Kitts, Antigua and The Azores) and the cruise back to Southampton was a great way to unwind. Would do it again.
We took Mum as for a cruise on the new Britannia ship as a treat, everything was great, we found no issues at all, a lot of people were moaning about the lifts being busy, but we didn't think it was too much of an issue, there is a lot of people on board! Only gripe, but tbh, most ships are the same, the cabin for the 3 of us (adults) was not really big enough, good job we had the balcony, but wouldn't do that again, too cramp and can't get out on balcony if the bed settee is in down. Staff great, food great, overall a nice experience.
Great information of requirements pre-boarding, and as usual the process from plane at Barbados to ship was very slick. Not having to clear immigration and collect luggage on arrival is always a great bonus with P&O in the Caribbean.
Guest levels were lower than pre-COVID as we expected, but despite this we had a great time. Staff were excellent and service was great, particularly in buffet and dining rooms. Yes we felt perhaps food choice was a little more limited, but quality was always there, food was hot when it should be and we always found something to eat that we enjoyed. Loved the table service in bars, so much better than crowds at the bar and their drink prices are reasonable.
Public areas were better than when we were last on board immediately before lockdown, cabin also, and there was lots of new deck furniture too.
We didn’t do any shore excursions, so marked on previous experience, they were good when we did them but marked down just because you can do them so much cheaper independently in the Caribbean.
We could not fault anything on this cruise, and value for money it certainly was.
The Ship and crew were great we had no issues although many were moaning regarding lift access (busy). This trip was a treat for Mother in Law so chose this Ship, enjoyed very much but after cruising on QM2 just got spoilt.
When we booked we booked a set dinning time. When we were on board we found that it had gone to freedom dinning which we don’t like, we had not been informed about the change and until they go back to set dinning times we won’t book
with them again.
Brilliant cruise with P&O Cruises.
ship, food and service first class, can't wait to go on another one hopefully.
