This fourteen day cruise was to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary, it visited Barbados,Curaçao, Aruba,Saint Vincent, Grenada, St Lucia, Dominica, Antigua, and Saint Martin Philipsburg. Every port had something amazing for us to enjoy, a Sea Aquarium that worked to help restore dying coral reefs, butterfly world, gold milll ruins and Indian cave paintings. We visited Stony Hill House on St Lucia and saw three acres of amazing plants, loads of the most beautiful orchids.Sadly we also saw the still unrepaired damage left by an earlier hurricane on Dominica. Another of our excursions was for a Steel Pan lesson, this was great fun and we managed a simple tune and celebrated with a Rum Punch on the way back to the ship. Our Anniversary was a wonderful celebration with our new cruise friends. Than you P&O
A fabulous cruise. The staff were incredibly helpful and thoughtful. We enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t full. The ship was spacious and immaculately clean. The buffet was excellent. We will travel again with P&O.
Great value for money and great destinations.
Food not as good as we remember
The entertainment was first class, the down side was that it was Freedom dinning which we didn’t know about until we got on board as it had been changed from set dinning times. The sail away was not as good as other cruise ships we have been on.
Fabulous ship and service was excellent, waiting and bar staff couldn't do enough. Entertainment was first class. Ship health protocol was exceptional. There is very little to fault, travelled on this ship twice previously and it just gets better. I would recommend the line the ship and the itinerary to new cruisers as well as seasoned cruisers. Looking forward to my jet venture
Last minute deal, so cannot complain, but had been on the ship in Sep 21
This was our 11th Cruise, 10 with P&O.
There are a few issues with the "tiredness" of the ship - due for refit in 2 years, and sagging in places.
Laundry served a bit of a wobbly with the wrong clothes delivered - but we sorted it out.
Some standards were ignored, we watched as a guest, wearing only (small) swimming shorts, passed many staff in the buffet restaurant, padding his way to the counters, getting a tray of food, and out again without challenge.
Excursions were reasonably priced, though some seemed to lack value and were quite unadventurous. We did the cable car and tobogganing in Madeira - excellent fun! In the Canaries we mainly just walked ashore and walked around, as we did in Lisbon on the way back. Lisbon Duty Free is cheaper than most in the region!
The staff on Britannia were mainly as excellent as they have been, but new blood means there are a lot of newly trained staff. Oriental restaurant staff were excellent and went above and beyond as usual.
Ship's officers were very good and highly visible, as well as approachable. Formal nights were well attended.
Onboard treatments are very good but the prices are creeping higher and the hard sell for products after the treatment tends to put you off.
Mainly there were just a lot of little things that spoiled the previous 5 stars, so 4/5, could do better.
Disappointed - poor customer service, lack of structure pre-flight no P&O management overseeing flight check-in. Pre-flight COVID-19 tests disorganised chaos. On arrival at ship, non-existent customer service, appalling lack of professional courtesy. Once sailing, restaurant service impeccable, enjoyable cruise. On return home, exchange of emails with CEO office, finally recognised issues impact on holiday. Nominal gesture eventually offered.
Really enjoyed my cruise to the Caribbean, but would've enjoyed it more if the service in the buffet hadn't have been so abysmal.
More than once the person in front of me would get served, then the server would put down to tongs, turn his back then go and have a chat with his colleague.
having been on Brittania many times we found p&o going downhill.Food not to usual standard, ship getting a little tired ,I know we are going through bad times but service not as good as usual
Trial first time went to bruze Belgium liked the cruising , enjoyed a lot , planned another holiday
Second time Norway , fantastic experience .
Third time went to France , Spain and Netherlands
And Had great time with p&o three time experience. Booked again to go to canary islands bad luck pandamic started . Me and my husband Love cruising. Love to try other cruises aswell in the feature.
This was a 3 day seacation and a taster for P&O, not having travelled with them before.
Embarkation was excellent.
We had booked a twin but cabin was made up as double. We contacted reception and were told 'speak to your steward when you see him' - not very proffessional!
Getting a drink in the lounges took ages. Although the tables were cleared they were never wiped clean. Spillages left on the tables.
Dinner a shambles - we were told we could get a table quicker if we didn't mind sharing. Not a problem - we expected to share. The problem was that we had to wait 20-30minutes for other people to join us.
The buffet area ran out of green tea bags - I checked every area without success but when i approached a crew member I was told to look around the other service areas. i explained that I already had so eventually more were grudgingly brought out.
Disembarking was well organised as were parking facilities.
Our cabin steward was excellent. Overall, I was not encouraged to book P&O again in a hurry.
Amazing holiday despite Covid restrictions. The drew were fantastic, accommodating and helpful.
We were on the first cruise out of Southampton on board Britannia to cruise to the Caribbean, although the testing was testing but essential for the safety of your staff and passengers, it was only half full to allowing for social distancing, the excursions were again a little more days due to covid restrictions but everyone did their job, overall a great trip as I have come to expect from P&O.
