Had a wonderful time on the cruise, celebrity are a great company to cruise with. It was our second cruise with them.
Excellent cruise to celebrate our birthdays. Stayed in Aqua and ate in Blu.
Nice cabin and the shower is great. The food in Blu is excellent and lots of choice of healthy food. The crew were fantastic, very professional and friendly. We were given cake on our birthdays and they sang Happy birthday to us. The sommelier was also excellent and we tried lots of his suggested wines.
The bar tenders in the Ensemble Lounge we’re also very friendly and excellent, acknowledging us and remembering what what drinks we like.
Embarkation was very quick and the same with disembarkation.
All in all a very memorable cruise.
Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise . Beautiful ship and everything was clean. Never bored . Wonderful staff . Martini bar was my favorite bar and it was always crowded . Enjoyed Murano and Le petite Chef restaurants .As usual Celebrity is the best out of it class of Ships
Great time, did not do any organised excursions.
Excellent food and good comfortable accommodation.
We enjoyed our cruise but there were a few issues onboard, including some cases of Covid. We were Concierge class so embarkation was great but disembarkation was pretty badly organised with long queues. The tender service at our first port was a shambles. We have cruised with Celebrity many times and have noticed they’ve made several cutbacks, including no port maps or information and large containers of shower products. Our balcony cabin definitely needed a refit, it was looking pretty shabby. We had to wear our masks at all times, apart from when eating or drinking, after the first week due to covid which nearly everyone onboard did. We saw plenty of evidence of enhanced cleaning and all staff wore masks at all times. The service was fabulous and the crew were really friendly, cheerful and professional. We’re hoping the issues we experienced will be addressed before our next cruise in September.
Had a fantastic holiday with my family, service, food, entertainment was fantastic, it was an all round great experience, one if my daughters loved the kids club however my youngest daughter chose not to go as she was in the younger group and wanted to be with her sister. It would have been great if a couple if specially restaurants were included in the price of the cruise however the restaurants we did have were great, excursions were very expensive when done with the ship and were much cheaper when done yourself. We will do another cruise hopefully next year..
Was really excited to be cruising with Celebrity. Highlight was the Retreat where all staff know your name from the moment you arrive on the ship-how do they do that, the Retreat is exactly that, a quiet space to relax in. Low points: all the food, without exception, in OceanView cafe was poor, at best; being charged for drinks from the minibar despite "Enjoy your favorite beverages throughout the ship"; poorly maintained lifejackets - inexcusable; hand-sized flakes of paint on balcony. Additional: stop at Olden, was actually at Loen - speaking with others it was generally agreed that no-one really minded, but it would have been better to have the itinerary state that the stop would be in Loen - it just felt a bit 'RyanAir'; on-ship video of port stops advertised the Hansa Museum in Bergen, only to be told that it is closed for the next 2 years; stop in Bergen, was round the corner at a rather industrial wharf, rather than the picturesque wharf that everyone is sold; excursions not staffed by Celebrity means that ship-hygiene-standard is not practised when away. This cruise was shadowed the whole tour by P&O's Iona - which did dock in both Olden and Bergen's historic wharf, making it feel like the premium Cruise Line, rather than Celebrity - despite Celebrity being so very much more expensive.
Will we cruise with Celebrity again, probably not - simply because we expected such a step up from P&O and yet they struggled to even match them.
A 9 night cruise from Southampton to Spain Portugal and France. Amazing staff great food and entertainment would certainly recommend.
Beautiful scenery in the fjords. Relaxing time which we all needed very much.
The embarkation was a mess if you were not able to complete the express checkin on the Celebrity X app. Do they realise that the majority of the passengers are elderly and are unable to use technology and so are put at the back of the queue.
The staff in the main dinning room had a bad command of English so trying to order any variation of what was printed on the menu was difficult. For example I wanted to change the rice accompliment rice to potatoes and the waiter seemed to not understand me. In fact he was very rude to me.
If you could not book your excursions on the app then you were out of luck because all the excursions which were suitable for the less mobile were booked up before we sailed.
My first cruise and i cant wait for the next with celebrity . All staff very polite and very attentive.
Food and entertainment excellent.
We were lucky to be onboard the first sailing of the refurbished Silhouette from Southampton. Bearing in mind that we were still in the midst of the pandemic, everyone onboard was double vaccinated, everyone wore masks inside. Only passengers were able to take off their masks when dining or drinking.
The first couple of nights were a little clunky in the MDR any time seating in the way of initial seating, but, you can't go from 0 - 100% overnight, by the third night everyone was in the swing of things.
By the last night, no one wanted to get off. A fabulous band was in the main foyer and got the ship in a real party mood. Again with protocols, no dancing, but you can stand and wave your arms around and have a great time.
I wasn't able to go on any tours, as they had to be Celebrity organised, which is manageable for able bodied passengers. Those such as myself who wanted to go and see the Belfast Experience needed a powerchair accessible tour, I was quoted £700.00 per person for me and my Husband. So I did not leave the ship, I did something I hadn't done before, I relaxed on my own, and bumped into a few people I'd met, had a chat, they helped me out with getting a drink or a blanket (UK in July).
This was the safest I had felt in over a year.
