Beautiful, immaculate ship, lots is space for wheelchair access
Varied entertainment, theatre shows very good however repeated over 2 nights
Other entertainment was good, lots of quality musicians, groups could have been better.
Main restaurant’s lots of variety, excellent service, no individual butter pats, choice of one roll or piece of bread, table covers not changed if still clean, buffet very good apart from night time where it was basically leftovers reheated
Statements only serviced once a day, no evening fold down or towel change. Onboard shopping lacks excitement and offers, Drinks, similar pricing to other lines, good variety, coffee included, terrible, usual fruit juices etc available at breakfast. No ice available
Ship’s captain’s daily talk very informative and hilarious
Good variety of tours however a little expensive
Mask wearing compulsory

A truelly wonderful break to Norway on the Iona ...Stavanger, Olsen, Alesund and Haugesund, were on the itinery and each offered incredible scenery and a great deal of things to do and see...the locals were friendly , they seemed delighted to see us visiting and the weather was delightfully sunny and warm .
Aboard the Iona Captain Wesley Dunlop kept us informed and entertained and the crew were efficient and friendly ...We are saving up to go again as soon ss we can ...loved it

Wow! What a beautiful ship.
Loads of space, public areas, restaurants, bars and the most hot tubs I've seen on any cruise ship.
It's a while since we have been with P&O and to be honest they exceeded expectations.
The dining system of being unable to pre booked worked out brilliantly with a choice of dining rooms and going at a time to suit us was perfect and we didn't have to wait at all.
The entertainment was better than expected, The music was to our taste and the comedians were funny! There were problems with the acrobatic act but there were plenty of other options that evening.
Weather was hit and miss but we still had an amazing comfortable cruise with some delicious food and cocktails.
We did our own thing on shore and did not take an excursion but the choice of destinations was excellent and they were very accessible.
We would definitely choice Iona again.

The whole ship creaks badly when I’m windy and high wave conditions. There is no atmosphere on board as it’s so large. The dome’s acoustics are so bad it’s impossible to hear the entertainers muffled speakers for echoes. The dance floor is so small it’s a joke for a large ship. Loud music plays in the shopping mall even when it’s closed. Christmas dinner was cold. Gangways to shore were shared for both directions and disabled customers who decided after getting off that the destination was too far from town and return to the ship straight away made life hell for those who were leaving. One steep shore gangway for all ?? Ridiculous. After having taken a so so cruise previously with P&O, we reluctantly booked this one as it was the only Christmas cruise we fancied, but would never use them again. Smaller is bigger as far as cruising is concerned.

Covid precautions at boarding didn't take too long but made us feel a lot safer on board.
Just a cruise out and back to chill on board and thoroughly enjoyed it. The entertainment was outstanding.
Some of the best food and drink I've encountered.
A definite return for both of us.

Terrible food options and the new ship Iona is really a budget ship with terrible service. Compared to other P&O ships the Iona is really not up to standard.

Our first cruise post covid was a resounding success. The ship was everything P&O had promised. The accommodation was lovely, the restaurants were fantastic, the food was as usual excellent, the service was as good as always. Apart from the covid restrictions the cruise was as good as ever. We are looking forward to our next cruise.

The ship was pristine…..as it should be , it’s brand new, but it was stunning . There were 4 main dining rooms to choose from, all stylish and beautifully decorated . There we’re also varied themed food areas and restaurants (some at additional cost) plus the traditional buffet.everywhere we are was impressive with good service and delicious food. You couldn’t go hungry and I defy anyone not to find inspiration somewhere! You just could nerves get bored as there was such variation.
The entertainment was good although I was not as impressed with some of the theatre acts as I have been on other ships. This may be due to just coming out of the Pandemic, but still noteworthy. I would have liked to have seen a good tribute band/act, but the comedians that were on were very good .
I generally arrange my own of shire trips as I find them very expensive arranged through the ship so can not comment of the excursions, but I enjoyed every port we visited especially Lisbon which I loved.
Our balcony room was more than adequate in fact very comfortable. We had biscuits with out coffee & tea in the room each day which is good to see hasn’t stopped (which I notice was the case on my last but one cruise with Royal Caribbean in December) and our room serviced every day .
The shops were good if not a little “High End” when it came to beautiful jewellery, but I guess they know their market. The bars were good and my only comment would be that ‘BrewDog IPA’ (my partners drink of choice) was only available in a certain few which meant walking to a particular bar to get a drink before heading back to another to see the entertainment. Not always convenient……. But certainly no real problem.
All in all I’d give this cruise a massive thumbs up! Infact we got straight off and booked a Canarian Cruise on the Iona fur November. Can’t wait!!

Very large ship with a great feel and public spaces.
MDR good, but not excellent. Service was fabulous. Bars serve bespoke drink menus, so can’t get certain drinks all over. Not sure whether this is an improvement or not.
Daytime activities good but not enough. Evening shows were great and the Christmas special show was fabulous. Dancers were very very good. Singers ok.
Stateroom (balcony) was fab, with lots of storage, although no drawers in wardrobe.
Overall great value.

Lots of covid checks, difficult to disembark with my friend in.mobility scooter at ports so stayed on board, missed out on Captains table as we didnt know about it then too late for us to book. Talks on board very boring covering foot care, facials, acupuncture etc.Dining and food good, service wonderful.Entertainment hit and miss
