We were travelling towards end of Covid restrictions but our cruise still upheld all guidelines - so felt reassured and safe as can be. The ship is lovely and well laid out. The dining experience was amazing - venues, food choice and quality were all wow. Entertainment was varied and fun. We've been to Canary Islands before so did feel excursion choice s little limiting. However our overall praise and compliments go to all the staff. We've cruised many times with several lines and Marella staff are outstandingly the best we've ever had. Added to this your cruise price includes tips so it's refreshing to know the excellent level of service you get is purely because they're genuinely happy to serve and us 2nd to none. Well Done Marella.

Had an absolutely amazing time. Straight off the plane into a bus and onto the ship. Cases waiting for us in our room. Everything that was needed was there, including enough storage space. I have food allergies, was introduced to chef, who became almost my own personal chef for two weeks. I have never experienced such good public relations. All the shows were great to watch. The aces we visited were amazing, swam with turtles and many many fish of every colour, amazing. Each port was easy on/off the ship it ran like clockwork. Cant thank everyone enough especially my chef. Will definbook asap again

We had one unfortunate occurrence. On the 2nd night, at around 4a.m. in the morning, we were awoken by the dripping of water(?) which we discovered was coming from the ceiling of our inside cabin, and dripping (alarmingly) onto a bedside lamp and the telephone. We immediately contacted Reception, who evacuated us to a temporary cabin for the remainder of the night, so that we could at least try to go back to sleep, with just the bare essentials - night clothes, a change of clothes, toiletries and medications. After we came back from breakfast, at around 9a.m. we were told that we would have to be permanently moved from our original cabin to another one, and we had to moved all our belongings, and clothes which we had hung up. We were placed in an upgrade cabin with a balcony. To be fair - there was little more that Marella could do, but it caused a lot of disruption to us, and the upgrade cabin with balcony was very welcome. One other point, there was a lot of confusion (and expense) about COVID testing before departure, and we were asked to do unnecessary testing, which was immediately repeated on arrival in Corfu. Also we felt that some of the food could have been of better quality.

The cruise was very good and the staff were attentive and efficient especially in the restaurant. The ports of call were very good with an overnight in Madeira. Cabins were good although the mattress was too hard. Ali in all a good time

We had a great week onboard Marella Explorer, we cruised around the Canary Islands from Tenerife. There are still covid measures onboard, face masks must be worn whilst walking around inside the ship. Very good lever of cleanliness and staff were very attentive. We enjoyed all meals although the buffet in the evening was not the usual standard but all other restaurants were very good. Excursions were reasonably priced and very good. We really enjoyed it.

Brilliant transpositional journey. Different landscapes every day, great relaxing opportunity while at sea, with loads of space for sunbeds etc. Loved all the European ports and culture. Taranto was an unexpected treat that we didn't know about. Amazing itinary and still can't pick a favourite..Great service and entertainment and the food was fantastic.

Everything was perfect, including unfortunately the medical facilities I had to use after an accident ashore. I useMarella because I know if I choose and pay for excursions prior to boarding I could literally board with zero left in my bank account and not be hit with a big bill on leaving. Obviously normal extras (spa/speciality dining etc) are extra but not bar bill/ gratuities is a big plus.
