Best time ever
Only we didn’t get halal meat
We sailed from Southampton England on the Regal Princess last August. It was a fabulous 4 days. We sailed down as far as Spain. Everything was just fabulous. The food was great and the shows were top notch. Gareth Gates and Andy the ships Theatre host were brilliant. We enjoyed the historian who gave talks on the attack on Pearl Harbour.
All in all we can’t wait to go on another cruise this year.
Service overall was terrible, although waiters seemed OK the food the worst I've ever had except two meals which were fine. But locations such as the International cafe were a disaster as was the pool area food. Medalion app wasn't working the whole cruise so Princess had the worst wifi I've experienced. When you consider their claims for good wifi, this was a joke. I would have given a simple 1 star but the cruise was cheap, very cheap.. unfortunately service matched the cheap price, I believe they were lacking staff but some of the staff also needed more training. My fourth Princess cruise and probably my last.
Fantastic short cruise to nowhere! Crown Grille must be the best restaurant on-board a ship!
Five family members, 3 generations ,and we all enjoyed it very much. All thought the food was excellent.
first and the last cruise I would have had better service and food at Butlins
Avoid Princess Cruises.
A short staycation but what a great ship. Embarkation, despite testing, streamlined and quick, food in restaurants excellent but Crown Grill best restaurant we've been to on a cruise ship!!
4 night cruise from Southampton to Belfast and back. Ship not full as numbers reduced as ship only returning to cruising following Covid 19. Only issue we had was the entertainment was coordinated by IMAGINE CRUISING and they would not let passengers who had not booked through them get tickets.
Otherwise could not fult the crew who seem to have been retained during the period of inactivity.
Have two cruises book with Princss this year
This was our first cruise following Lockdowns and all the restrictions. There are so many conditions to travel now that holidays are hard work. We joined Regal Princess, our Princess cruise. In Southampton at the start of half term week. Travelling to La Verdon, Bilbao and La Coruna. With 3 sea days in the cruise.
Once we had completed all the paperwork and the now extensive testing process.. that stepping on board feeling is all sweeter !!
We could not fault any aspect of our cruise. The staff are working hard within guidelines to keep everyone safe. From the cabin stewards to bar staff, waiting staff to maintenance. Everyone is going beyond to make our holidays the best possible. Yes there are distinctive differences between cruises before the pandemic and the cruise experience now. We just have to be grateful with the new excellence.
Our dining experience whether it was in the MDR or select restaurants was faultless. Great menus with seasonal goodies and local favourites too.
Shore excursions covered all the interests of those on board. We stayed locally in La Verdon and returned to the ship and made full use of the on boards facilities including the Spa.
Taking part in a guided walking tour in Bilbao and an amazing beer factory tour at Mega in La Coruna. Shore tours were well organised and great value. Every part of our cruise was excellent.
First cruise on a Princess cruise ship and I was very impressed. The staff are friendly, hard working and helpful. The ship was exceptionally clean and the food was well prepared, with good choices for all tastes. The smaller food portions were well presented and tasteful.
