![MAGICAL EXPERIENCE!]()
A totally different experience to large ship cruising.
'Star Flyer' looked majestic at dock in Venice and once set sail with sails unfurled is an incredible sight on the Grand Canal.
Ship is quite small,but there's ample room for 170 guests. There are two small pools and plenty of areas on deck to relax as well as the bar, library and a large lounge.
Food onboard was quite amazing and lots of it. Breakfast and lunch were buffets in the dining room and evening meals were served at your table. There was always plenty of choice to suit all. There was also a small buffet late afternoon and one late at night.
No drink packages but prices onboard very reasonable.
As it is a sailing ship, cabins are perhaps not as big as the large ships,but are well designed with plenty of storage and room to relax. Our cabin had a spacious wet room.
All staff did their utmost to provide a great service and were very helpful.
We were sailing from Venice to Athens and all the ports had plenty of interest and things to do.
If you are used to large ships, it may not be your cup of tea, as you need to make your own entertainment. but it is a memorable. magical experience!

Flew to Barbados celebrating our Sapphire Wedding Anniversary.
We had 5 days pre-cruise at beautiful Accra Beach. Enjoyed the locality very much & swimming with Turtles.
Embarked Royal Clipper and enjoyed a beautiful week cruising & visiting the Leeward Islands.
The shore excursions were perhaps a little brief with Martinique being a full day we enjoyed it considerably.
Unfortunately Grenada experienced a torrential downpour and flooding for our day there.
Beach BBQ at Bequia aborted due to weather but we had a fun time paddle boarding and swimming, with light refreshments provided on shore.
Souffriere was enjoyable too but as with many shore visits we didn’t have enough time to make the best of it.
On return we had a further stay for one week at Barbados Sandals Royal... it was fabulous.
As an Ex-Royal Navy ratIng I have enjoyed commissions of over 7.5 months via SA
out to Guam in the Pacific.
And on return from that a further 3.5 months in the Med.
I was hesitant to cruise having had almost 16months touring the colonies in just two years of my total initial service...but delighted with the outcome.

Everything was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It was a great, completely different experience. A small ship, only 139 passengers and 65 crew on board. Will be going again and would definitely recommend
