It was our first cruise. We went with Princess because we had heard such great reviews we were not disappointed the cruise was Brilliant. If you are thinking of cruising go with Princess. We are thinking of cruising again soon.
Having sailed before on this ship, we booked it to coincide with our anniversary having had a family celebration the week before with our many grandchildren and adult children.
The cruise took us from Southampton and out into the western section of the Med and enjoyed seeing places we had and not had visited before. The weather was kind and not too hot and we had a balcony suite. The crew were very friendly has normal and helped us celebrate on the exact date.
As it was our diamond anniversary I purchased appropriate gifts for my good lady, and met, as usual, a lot of friendly passengers, some of whom were celebrating various anniversaries.
We have now booked another cruise on the Sky for October, 2026.
If you are an older Princess fan as we are we were extremely disappointed with the Star. All that we knew to make Princess Princess is gone or altered other than the Sea Witch. We have 27 cruises and this is the only cruise we felt like the money was wasted. The music was sub-par with no classic or classical. The Wheelhouse is now a shadow of itself. The Vista gone. The Piazza with its glamor, class and cozy meeting areas replaced with a three-story hole in the ship. Liquor in the mini bar has been replaced with artificially colored seltzer water. No library or nooks to read. No Internet cafe. Much of what you could do on your TV you no longer can. Laundry now takes up to 72 hours. Unlike other lines smoke still fills the casinos main room. They have piano players in the Irish pub doing Sinatra, not Irish music. The indoor pool is now a venue for meetings and entertainment and smells just like an indoor pool. If you like a Boom ba da Boom Carnival cruise with a cruise director in gaudy clothes, this may be for you. The ship is new and pretty and the crew was great.
We enjoyed our Sky Princess cruise to Norway and Denmark. Despite having to skip one of the stops, we there was lots to do on the boat, and the food was a step up to previous Princess cruises I've been on.

Sky Princess is a beautiful ship with great attention to detail and service that provides a warm welcome comforting feeling to make you feel right at home from the start.
Our stateroom was lovely with great views from the balcony when sailing into Oslo. Staff were so friendly and could not do enough to ensure that our Princess cruise experience was everything that it could be and more.
I would highly recommend Princess cruises , can't wait to go on another one.
