Only our 2nd cruise (1st was the Caribbean on Arvia) but even though we were on a smaller and older ship we still had an amazing holiday. The destinations and tours we did were fantastic. Our only negative was we should have booked for 2 weeks instead of one!
Just as good as ever, Tenerife is great at Xmas and my Teide is stunning as is Madeira
We enjoyed our cruise but if there is a negative it is that the ship in parts is quite dated, and our cabin had 2 bunk beds above our bed and at 73 years young I banged myself a number of times getting in and out but our overall experience was great
Azura was a pale comparison of Arvia. A tired ship, with overpriced options and disengaged staff.
Flight into Malta to join Azura and sail around Greek islands. Stunning scenery and enjoyable relaxing cruise
The cruise ship was incredibly nice
Azura is a lovely old style (in my opinion) ship with lots of wood/wood effect and a good size in terms of capacity. Food was good. Entertainment was varied. Service and cleanliness were very good.
It was an amazing cruise, visiting places we had never been to before. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Cabin was comfortable and clean, balcony a decent size on Deck B.
Excellent cruise on Azura. Balcony cabin. The weather was scorchio, up to 35degrees, but we managed the train to both Rome and Florence on our own. The crowds were oppressive so will go in an off peak season next time. Ajaccio in Corsica was surprising. Did the Petit Train down to the Sanguine Islands and the afternoon on the beach. Sicily; we ventured to the top of Etna on the P&O excursion. Fantastic guide, very funny and informative, and we took the coach to the Visitor Centre, onto the cable car, then into large 4x4 to get up to the subsidiary craters and do a lava walk. This was followed by a five course meal with 5 glasses of wine in the tasting at the Bodega. Excellent value for money. On the sea days I did some art classes, talks, took advantage of the pool, the gym and had two delicious meals in the Glass House. I had to come home for a rest!
Cabins - very well set out. Walk in type wardrobe where you can see your outfits and accessories and better plan your outfits. Two TVs - one viewable in the seated area, the other whilst relaxing on a very comfortable bed. Outdoor area (balcony) was good - foot rests as well as the usual chair.
Housekeeping - very good - White Company toiletries which was a nice surprise. Only down side was that the sheets were not changed daily; probably saving on water etc, but I would expect and prefer new sheets daily. Oh, I asked for more towels - accommodated within minutes.
For me, if your cabin meets your needs and is spacious that makes 40% of holiday.
Drinks were fab - we had the drinks package which was well worth the extra cost.
Facilities were good - lots of sun loungers albeit a little cramped in places
Gym, which we did not use
Lots of entertainment to suit all needs
Food was excellent - NO ISSUES here at all - varied and quick service. Have proper English bacon too!!
Destinations from the ship were good - mainly up the west coast of Italy and France - tenders, when required were plentiful
I was most impressed with the 'bonded flight' processes - bags dropped off at the airport check in and the next time you see them is outside your cabin door!! Going home the same, except you pick them up at the airport as usual!!
Overall we had a relaxing, decadent, time - the crew were excellent. Captain kept us informed about our travel and entertainment staff about the activities - I would highly recommend P&O to anyone and everyone!!
From stepping onto the ship to disembarking a week later the whole experience was pure luxury.
The staff were helpful and cheerful. The food was absolutely delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed getting dressed up every evening for dinner - it was fine dining - the choice of food was amazing.
I cant wait for my next cruise!
Flew out to Malta and then sailed up to Italy before returning to Malta and off again this time towards the Greek islands. Summer holidays so lots of children onboard including our granddaughters. They enjoyed the kids club and meeting Sean the Sheep. The shows were good as was the accommodation. Our trips ashore were brilliant despite the heat. Had a wonderful fortnight and nice to be back on Azura.
A beautiful destination, with marvellous onboard entertainment. Superb dining and very comfortable luxurious surroundings.
From start to finish, the process was smooth.
From embarking to disembarking. Everything was made clear. The cabins were spotless and our concierge was very helpful.
Great announcements from the captain.
Lots of great entertainment and food in the main dining room was great variety.
Six ladies over 70 travelling together from Malta, Greek Islands and Italy.
Faultless service throughout.
Only disappointment was some of the entertainment, although the Privateers more than made up for the rest.
Food was beautifully presented in the MDR, booking system worked well, absolutely no complaints at all.
Next cruise Jan 2027 Carribean Islands from Bridgetown.
