The cruise started in Tenerife and ended in Malta with six ports of call en-route. Boarding & disembarkation were very efficient with just a small amount of waiting time each end. Valletta airport was an absolute nightmare but this wasn't down to the cruise line. While the Azura is a beautiful ship, she is showing signs of her age now. Some of the public toilets constantly seemed to be closed or restricted which could be quite frustrating at times. It has to be said that since covid (and this isn't just P&O) the standard of the food does appear to have gone down quite significantly in the general restaurants, buffets etc. Service was also extremely slow on occasions. However, the speciality restaurants are well worth a visit despite the high cover charges. Another disappointing factor was the absence of quite a few food items, although it could be due to the world food shortages last year. The itinerary was quite diverse and we found plenty to do at every port of call. We did not go on any of the organised excursions as we prefer to do our own thing, and with a little bit of forward planning you can give yourself quite an entertaining day on your own. The service was pretty fair but not as good as on previous cruises. Our cabin steward was always around if we needed him and the rest of the crew appeared to carry out their duties politely, efficiently and without fuss.
All that said, we did have an extremely enjoyable cruise and would definitely book with P&O again in the future.

We had a great cruise but the choice of food on board was limited by 7 day menus and shortages (we were on for 20 nights). I would cruise on P and O again but maybe not do a repositioning cruise since the bargain price was reflected in the cruise as a whole. As always the staff were wonderful and embarkation and disembarkation were excellent. Fortunately the weather was also perfect.

Highlight of the trip was the food in the main dining room, both Breakfast and Dinner were superb. Great service throughout the cruise. Ship clean and in good condition, entertainment a bit repetitive but pleanty to see and do. Drinks pricing comparative to at home in UK. Drinks package ok if you are a heavy drinker, Wi Fi charges very high. Have alreay booked a future cruise with P&O, say no more.

Had a cruise around Canary Islands in January slightly worried about weather but it was fantastic nice and warm lots of sunbeds available around the ship and chairs and table on balcony Food was good and varied the Costa coffee bar served coffee with huge slices of cakes just pay for coffee Staff very pleasant and worked hard Entertainment not as good as other cruise lines had to book up in advance but never fully booked no broadway musicals just 1 singer for 45 mins and 1 dance for all the dancers didn’t like the Ad lib trio ( they had 2 nights ! ) Drinks reasonably priced similar to UK prices wines starts at £18 bottle beers from £4 cocktails £6.95 All Inclusive expensive at £50 per day

My first cruise so really enjoyed, ship was a bit tired and my cabin was not easy to get in and out of the bed as there was fold up beds on the wall, staff were brilliant, food was very good and quite a good variety, ports were enjoyable and had some good days out and the days on the ship went quite quick, loved the duty free shopping, would I go again on the same ship, yes I think I would.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the Azura.
There are differences to our cruises pre pandemic, however, they did not detract from our enjoyment of the holiday. The nightly turndown, with chocolates on the pillow, no longer exists.
We did not miss this. The cabin, balcony was spotlessly clean. We spent every day in the Retreat. The changes, very little choice of items on the menu and reduced afternoon tea quality, needs to be attended to. The extra costs for the Retreat were still worth the money as we did not have to fight for sunbeds.
The staff were helpful and polite. We did not use the buffet. The main dining room food was adequate. Drinks were reasonably priced.

Cruised to Madeira and all the Canary Islands. Met some lovely people. Weather was good apart from a couple of nights when we had storms. A lovely relaxing holiday, two weeks of heaven!

Very good holiday. Some different ports of call which was very good. Repositioning cruise so gave a variety of port and sailing days which we prefer. Entertainment very good.
