Although the ship was nearly full, 5000 people on board we never had any trouble getting seats inside or outside. The ship is lovely and we really enjoyed it, We had a bit of trouble at first with the app. but after a while we just turned up at the dining room and had the same table every night.
There are so many eating places with so much choice and we enjoyed all our food.
Plenty of quizzes and entertainment. The pub Brodies was really good with plenty always going on there. Really enjoyed this holiday, would go on it again.
I had to send my steak back twice, not cooked correctly. My partner had to send his steak back not cooked correctly. My partner had food poisioning one day.Had to book by phone app to go to venues when arriving at venues the booking did not show on there system. Also at meal times the app not working correctly.
A stunning ship with a vast variety of public spaces. Cabin was comfortable and a good size with a spacious bathroom with lots of storage space and a generous sized shower. Entertainment to suit all tastes. Drinks very reasonably priced. Food generally good in the dining rooms particularly at lunch times but the buffet was disappointing…not enough choice and not enough food stations open for such a large ship.
Having been cruising for a number years with various cruise lines myself and young family were very disappointing. The service was poor bed wasn’t made every day the wait for your drinks took to long as we couldn’t order straight from the bar you had to order thru the waiters I Pad Buffet was very poor main dinning we didn’t get to see always full it appears the lack of staff was the problem .Boarding at Bruge was chaos once again lack of staf The two dinning venues we managed to dine in were were very good .Very disappointing cruise
Very good. Food and crew were excellent.
Excursions were good but when we asked about accessibility for my disabled wife we were told they were fully accessible.
The coach steps were almost impossible for my wife. As a result she missed out on some. However she was quite happy to remain on board.
A new ship, and you can tell! Full of luxuries and comfort that you’d hope for. The ship is large but able to sail in to the fjords with ease and make the most of the amazing views with huge glass panels and atriums.
Norway is breathtaking to see from Iona. It was the number of outdoor whirlpools that made it even more special. And the comfort of the rooms and amazing balcony.
Although we have traveled with P&O before in 2018, this was nothing like it.
The ship was nice but too many corridors. We enjoyed the food in all of the
venues ,what a shame the bars didn’t match the eating places. Maybe the ship
was just too big, with not enough staff. Sorry P&O but you need to up your game
again.
Poor service, gave assurances and never delivered. Not a patch on Britannia. When you do complain nothing taken seriously. treated very badly, company full of excuses. No where near as good as it used to be.
Very disappointing. No port talks, no port information. Poor entertainment. No proper dance floor. Restaurants and theatre needed to be booked on an app. You could not be spontaneous.
Very disappointed after being on a P&O cruise before. Iona is nice but just too big, with corridors that remind me of school. Food was lovely but the service is not what it was. Such a shame .
Amazing ship and staff, couldn’t fault anything
Norway was beautiful, and the ship is beautiful to , looking forward to next time
ship a little big prefer smaller ships
Fantastic cruise.ship was clean beautiful food Fantastic.
Norwegian Fjords in September. Very lucky with weather. Horizon buffet long queues as first time sailing at capacity on Iona. Recommended main dining rooms for breakfasts rather than buffet. My holiday app easy to use. Highly recommend Sindhu on board for a treat. Not many provisions for traditional deck games like shuffleboard on ship. Skydome entertainment a bit lack lustre.
This is the second time on Iona, so knew what to expect. Great ship.
