We cruised to Iceland via Norway on a 14 night cruise on Queen Victoria. As usual the ship and crew did not disappoint and had an incredible holiday. The excursions that we had pre-booked online through Cunard were all excellent apart from a half day trip around some of the Golden Circle destinations, which was a poor half day version of the full day Golden Circle that we had also booked (they told us they were completely different excursions when they obviously were not). Food was amazing, I chose my dishes the day before due to food intolerances and allergies and the chef was extremely careful not to give me anything remotely near what I couldn't eat - although sometimes his care went a little far, erring on the side of caution. The zumba gold classes on sea days were great fun and so well managed, we also enjoyed many lectures and walks around the promenade deck watching the sea - all in all a fantastic cruise!
First time on a Cunard ship and it won’t be my last. Although the dining wasn’t comparable to Fred Olsen which I thought was much better, the service was brilliant and staff went out of their way to help you.
Ordering drinks was slightly slow on occasion but being in such pleasant surroundings made it a comfortable, entertaining trip.
The formal night’s were my favourite. It was wonderful seeing everyone dressed to impress! A particular favourite was the roaring 20’s event - I’ll definitely be returning on this ship for that and hope to stay 14 night’s next time so I can join the masquerade night too ;)
Room service food was of high quality so watching a movie with a nice meal is also an option when one wishes to get away from the excitement!
I really enjoyed the Queen Victoria and wish to explore Cunard’s other vessels too. Though I’ll be returning on the same ship again in January, I’m currently in the process of booking another!
Great cruise of Norwegian Fjords, but misleading itinerary. Only 4 actual days in port.
The ship has beautiful decor, although the air conditioning broke down. That drain in the shower was blocked. These problems where quickly dealt with.
A great 4 night cruise to Amsterdam. Beautiful ship, entertainment excellent all round a good few days
could not fault the ship or the food , cabin , staff , entertainment , shore excursions , including flights and shore hotel . will book with cunard again .
Our latest cruise to Norway and Iceland on Queen Victoria was our latest cruise. We are seasoned Cunard travellers and have travelled on Queen Victoria before. We had a Princess Grill stateroom which was fabulous with everything we needed and in a good position on deck 8 near the lifts and staircase. Service was excellent as usual, although we did notice that since covid the flexibiliity of the chef to cook food in line with my food intolerances was not quite as good as previously. The cruise destinations were amazing and the scenery incredible. There were issues with the courtesy bus into Reykavik in Iceland but apart from that the excursions were good quality and well organised. Entertainment was good and all staff wore masks the whole time and we felt well protected, even though we knew some crew and passengers had covid and were isolating.
Very good excellent value.
A lovely scenic cruise to Scotland
Unfortunately no upgrades and we had an outside cabin. It was okay but usually have a balcony.
No individual toiletries but now full size. Still have awful shower curtains. Shower screen would have been better
Not great service during afternoon tea as very busy. After complaining we were looked after
Interesting talks about artists in the afternoon
Would prefer to be able to choose my own films as Princess cruises. Enjoyed Downton movie in the cinema.
Would have liked a drinks package but not available on short cruises
A wonderful cruise spent on Cunard Queen Victoria. The ports of call included Guernsey, La Coruna, Porto and Lisbon with an overnight in port. Everything was perfect great food, super entertainment, fantastic service and a very clean Covid safe ship. I would thoroughly recommend the Britannia Club Balcony which has its own Britannia Club Restaurant where the service and food was exemplary. The only disappointment was the poor internet connection and limited signal on the satellite TV in the stateroom. The new super fast internet connection which was available at an additional premium cost did not deliver any quicker connection. Hopefully this problem will be fixed as soon as possible. Other than that issue everything was perfect. Thank you Cunard another superb cruise on the Queen Victoria.
Quite a nice cruise but as ship was only 50% full, lacked the usual ‘buzz’. Cruise was supposed to be St Petersburg and Baltic but obviously due to current warfare with Russia, itinerary excluded St Petersburg. Internet on board was terrible, Technical difficulties with Satellite tv. Only 2 Speakers on board meaning the 6 lectures presented were based on limited subjects. Entertainment was fine, theatre obviously not full due to limited number of passengers on board. Crew were very attentive, polite and helpful, tours were good apart from one taken in smaller coach limiting vision if seated at rear. So overall a nice cruise with a few disappointments.
Lovely cruise . Sea very calm except for last day
flu to athens for 2 night stay, emarked on queen victoria for greek island cruise .had a very good holiday and waiting to go on a cruise with cunard again.
Looked forward to this cruise and ship and Cunard. Sadly it was very disappointing and not what one would have expected from this company. The food was okay but no wow factor. The service was average and the whole experience was not high. Wish we had gone with Princess! Would not reccomend it at all.
This was a very short cruise from Southampton to Hamburg. Included in the cruise was an excellent tour of Hamburg and a flight home. The service was excellent and it made a very enjoyable break.
