Star Clipper
Why cruise on this ship?
Star Clipper and her sister, Star Flyer, are both stars of the sea; gliding through the water like graceful swans and sitting proudly atop the rolling waves.
Although both four-masted ships, as opposed to five, they are surprisingly taller than Royal Clipper and possess just as much style as their illustrious cousin. However, they are both just 360 feet long and each carries only 170 guests in pampered comfort.

Dining
Dine out on a comprehensive menu of international foods that are all prepared by our passionate, professional chefs. You’ll be able to taste delights from around the world and go on your own little culinary tour of the places you visit (and some that you don’t).
In line with the Star Clippers belief that cruises are more enjoyable without restrictions and formalities, we would not presume to dictate either your seating preferences or a dress code. On all of our ships, there are no set times at which you should dine and you are free to sit with whomever you like (including officers who are known to eat amongst the guests). Leave your black tie and ball gowns behind, relax, and make yourself at home within the casual elegance that is a Star Clippers cruise.

Clipper Dining Room
In the morning, you can help yourself to a superb continental spread including a fine selection of toasted English muffins, delicious Danish pastries and flavoursome French croissants. Conversely, you can start the day with a hot breakfast which is cooked exactly to your liking and includes crisp bacon, grilled sausage, smoked salmon and omelettes.
When lunch comes around, you will be greeted with the glorious sight of an extensive buffet. Options will include seafood, salads and grilled favourites as you treat your taste buds to an adventure of their own. If the day’s itinerary includes a visit to one of the many beautiful Caribbean or Mediterranean islands that we often frequent, you could find that your lunch is served beach-side and straight from the fiery grill of a barbecue.
Perhaps the best culinary offerings are saved for the evening meal though, as the chef treats you to some delicious delicacies that look good on the plate, taste great on the palate and are perfectly complemented by an outstanding selection of fine wines. As you take your seat in our elegant dining room, adorned with evocative seascapes, you will be met with friendly, unobtrusive service from our wonderful crew members.

Entertainment
Up on deck, a couple watches the sun drop slowly into the sea as gulls circle one last time in the sky. Newly formed friends stand in the Piano Bar; deep in conversation and occasionally breaking into song when the chance presents itself.
In the Tropical Bar, a delicious cocktail is being prepared for an awaiting guest as they imagine tasting its cooling properties whilst the barman shakes together the contents. Other guests sit in the library, engrossed in their new favourite book, whilst many more are laughing and joking at the pool side. Could there be anything more relaxing than this?
It’s clear to see that this is a cruise ship like no other. On a Star Clippers cruise you are not restricted to enforced schedules, nor are you expected to follow anyone’s lead but your own. Your days, evenings and nights are yours to spend however you wish and nobody will tell you otherwise.
Upon docking at certain ports, local performers may be brought on board for your entertainment. This presents the perfect opportunity for you to immerse yourself in different cultures and enjoy an authentic taste of the arts and music from various different countries.
Get to know your fellow shipmates, who are likely to share the same passion for sailing as you do, whilst music from tropical lands fills your eardrums courtesy of the live band playing in the background.
The captain’s daily briefings should not be missed as they offer both intriguing stories and interesting information; while the ability of the crew to conjure up light-hearted fun makes your time with Star Clippers all the more enjoyable. The Knot tying and navigation classes that also take place give us a chance to show you what we have gleaned from many years of Star Clippers’ sailing heritage.
In fact, we have it on good authority from our passengers that it is the easy-going informality of a Star Clippers cruise that makes their time spent with us such a memorable and pleasurable experience.

There’s nothing so easy and pleasurable as falling asleep to the gentle rhythms of the ship and sea – unless it’s awakening refreshed the next morning to a new-born day. The many staterooms on board offer everything you need and would expect from any luxury retreat. There is either a double bed or two twin beds that can be easily converted into a queen if need be. The en-suite facilities are in the form of a beautifully marbled bathroom and there is also a personal safe, direct-dial telephone, television with in-house video, hair-dryer, DVD player, as well comfortable furnishings throughout.
The cabin décor is tastefully traditional and you’ll find the accoutrements of a luxurious classic yacht, where everything has been cleverly designed for comfort, ease and efficiency. Burnished brass fittings and mahogany features are a tribute to our nautical heritage, whilst the use of soft, natural fabrics reflects the colours of the sun, sea and sky. Famous clipper ships and sailing yachts, in pictorial form, grace the walls. Everything is maintained impeccably and your steward balances personable service with the remarkable affinity of knowing when to leave you to it.
Aboard Royal Clipper, there are 14 deluxe suites which take cruising in comfort to a whole new level. With private verandas, whirlpool tubs and 24-hour room service, they are definitely worth the upgrade if you have the chance. All but six of her 98 cabins are exterior facing, and for the ultimate indulgence, there is the option to combine the two, 355-square-foot, owner’s suites in order to accommodate up to eight guests.
