SS Victoria, the new ship from boutique cruise line Uniworld, comes under the World of Cruising spotlight

This latest addition to Uniworld’s fleet of boutique ships offers some
of the largest suites on Europe’s rivers.

SS Victoria’s initial sailings will include voyages along the River Rhine, taking in medieval castles and private tastings of Germany’s renowned Riesling wine, as well as riverside towns along the Moselle.

On board, two Royal Suites each offer 47sqm of space, increasing to 71sqm if you book an adjoining standard suite, while three restaurants are complemented by a rooftop bar, offering guests a stylish hangout at cocktail o’clock.

1. Wellness SS Victoria has a fleet of bicycles which you can borrow to explore each destination at your leisure.
If you’re feeling saddle sore, soothe your muscles with a massage in the spa or book a facial. The ship’s wellness programme, meanwhile, includes restorative activities such as yoga.

2. Accommodation SS Victoria can accommodate 110 guests in 55 exceptionally spacious suites and staterooms, all with floor-to-ceiling windows that lower at the touch of a button to create an indoor balcony. Other luxury features include walk-in wardrobes and marble fireplaces.

3. Shore excursions Uniworld’s itineraries include a range of experiences designed to give guests an authentic taste of each destination. From hikes and wine tastings to visits to Cologne and Strasbourg’s must- see cathedrals, there is plenty to dive into onshore.

4. Luxury service Each of SS Victoria’ssuites comes with butler service and unpacking assistance. The butlers are graduates of the Ivor Spencer Butler School in London, where they are trained to the standards required by Buckingham Palace – so the ship really is fit for a king.

5. ItinerariesSS Victoria will be in service for the majority of 2024, starting with its inaugural sailing, Holland and Belgium at Tulip Time. It will then set sail for Uniworld’s 'Castles Along the Rhine' and 'Magnificent Moselle and Rhine' itineraries before touring Belgium’s winter markets.
