Azamara was the most horrible experience we ever had our bathroom didn't work 6 days out of 12 day cruise Customer service from guest relation manager and from Hotel manager to maintenance Manager just useless with bunch of lies the working crew was good but when you need to go to bathroom we had to go to public bathroom on deck above that is unexpectable. We were promised that when we get home to USA the customer service will be able to provide some kind compensation and that was promise from Guest relation Manager that was lie plus their customer service is the worst we ever experience they will lied to you till you will give up. Highly don't recommend Azamara as cruise line their is the reason the company was sold by Royal Caribbean because the ships are our dated need to to be in scrapyard because it's been in service 20+ years and numerous owners. The main company Sycamore Group with business rating big F and that the way they are running Azamara cruises with big F
A carribean cruiser. Fabulous food and drink options . Small boat so a very nice convivial atmosphere. Have made friends for life. Fantastic itinerary . Highly recommend

Got off the ship before then end of the cruise and had to find my way back to Reykjavik
Our first cruise with Azamara
History of over 30 cruises with various cruise lines at all levels
It started very badly with the worst organised check in ever which was an
awful experience.
It ended very badly with an overcrowded dirty under-supplied restaurant for breakfast on the last morning.
Between were some goods :
Better food than expected.
Did our special dietary stuff well.
Our waiters were excellent and we had the same table each evening and lunch for that reason. Apparently others did not receive such good service.
The glassware in the main dining room was awful. When we commented we were told that customers would break decent stuff. Enough of a insult.
Our cabin was nice and clean and the room steward excellent. Shower curtains were a disappointment at this level of cruising and when the first one was replaced with one that was 6 inches too short and then with one that would not stay in place both were quickly replaced.
Does the above explain why we aren’t sailing with Azamara again. No but the following does :
No cruise line is perfect and the front line staff are brilliant. But the on board management and administration are some of the worst ever.
We booked to see a future cruise advisor. They asked where I wanted to go. Antarctica I said. Here’s a good one he said. Starts in Rio and goes right up the Amazon to Maneus. Oh dear. How about the Indian Ocean. Here’s a nice Trans Oceanic across the Atlantic. Oh dear. Gave up on destinations. So how does the future cruise deal work. Pointed me to a leaflet but obviously was not clear himself. How about a brochure. Sorry but no. Absolutely useless and others thought the same. So I booked with the other one. He didn’t turn up. I left him a note He didn’t follow up. How rude. One of the management team asked how things were going so I went over the above. How awful they said. I will look into it they said. Didn’t hear a thing.
Kept hearing sorry from management to us and others but nothing ever got done.
We won't chance this cruise line again as there are better out there.
The cruise was good value and some aspects were great but there were too many problems that lowered the whole experience.
We booked a Junior Suite which was really spacious and well decorated but the downside was that it was under the "smoking area" on the pool deck and at 1am to 2am the smokers would come out from the Observatory after the disco to smoke and dragged the chairs and tables around making a terrible noise in our suite and waking us up. This was repeated again at 5am to 6am. We complained for 10 days until the management agreed to move heavy settees and tables into that area so they could not be easily moved. Hopefully future cruisers will now not have this problem.
The food in the Main Restaurant was good but they need to learn how to cook roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and chips and to serve them hot!! For us the portion sizes of the meals were too large and we would rather have had smaller portions with better quality meat and fish. The curries were brilliant. We never ate in the Buffet Restaurant as it was too busy and you had to queue for everything.
The entertainment was dire. Disembarkation was a shambles.
The best things about the cruise were the locations visited and the staff. The staff were friendly and polite and the service in the Main Restaurant and the bars was exceptional.
This is a review of the 42 day cruise as we found it and I am sure that if in future the management team is more hands on and responds to any complaints immediately and improves the quality of some of the food this cruise line will soon be getting 5 star reviews every time.
I would like to win a Cruise Holaday
