Viking Star, Panama Canal

An absolutely incredible experience from the moment we left home until our return. Flight arrangements were impeccable, our first night's hotel accommodation was perfect, transfers to the ship were all as expected and we were welcomed on board like old friends. The staterooms, public areas, bars and restaurants were all clean and hygienic as you would hope for these days, the service was par excellence, the food was excellent in all dining locations, and the entertainment was spot on! The itinerary took us to a number of Caribbean and Central American ports, but the highlight was a part-sailing through the Panama Canal, letting us see first hand how it all works, and giving us a "guided tour" of the canal though the ship's resident expert.

We cruise regularly with Viking, on both the rivers and oceans, and this was another excellent experience. We're back very soon for another cruise which we look forward to enourmously!
