Our last cruise for a while! We were so lucky in hindsight to fit in a nine week cruise and land tour, just as Covid kicked off, In January 2020 we cruised back to back from LA to Auckland, stopping at some amazing ports on the way, but in the background, we were listening to the increasing reports of Covid, we actually became worried that we wouldn't be able to get to Auckland but thankfully we arrived there before the doors were closed. We had four weeks touring New Zealand, both North and South Islands, such a beautiful place, and although we've been lucky enough to have done three cruises to New Zealand, you need to do a few weeks traveling around to get a real feel of the place, so much so that we're planning to go back, we finished off with a few days in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, both countries already very focused on protecting people from Covid, with what many months later became the norm in the UK, masks, distance and cleaning all being in place, it was amazing to return to the UK early in March 2020 and find no protection or even concerns, UK Government being so far off the pace it was a shock. But Azamara cruise and South Pacific all fantastic.
