Throughout the next 3 years Viking River Cruises are planning to add 8 new ships to their fleet and refurbish two of their existing vessels. This will bring the number of ships run by Viking to 26, that’s a 40% increase on capacity for the company.
Among the new cruise ships will be the Viking Prestige; this ship will be based in Europe and is due to set sail in 2011. It will be presented as the existing Viking Legend’s sister ship.
