Cruise ship Viking Star made an early morning arrival to Greenwich today, as part of her maiden voyage. With a gross tonnage of only 47,800 tons the Viking Star is officially classed as a ‘small ship’ and is dwarfed by recent new cruise launches, but her size enables the ship to reach the heart of great cities such as London. Viking Star leaves tomorrow and will be christened in Bergen, Norway, on Sunday. The ship will make a return visit to Greenwich in October.
