Since the introduction of UK legislation banning smoking in public spaces last year, P&O have been closely monitoring the reaction of passengers smoking on board their ships.

As a result, it became clear that the acceptance of smoking inside public areas had declined to such an extent that they have decided to change their smoking policy. The safety, comfort and enjoyment of all P&O’s passengers has of course always been of prime concern.

As a result, a complete ban on smoking in cabins and inside all public spaces will be enforced. Smoking will, however, still be permitted on cabin balconies and on certain areas of the open deck. This new policy will take effect from the following cruises:
Ventura 10 October 2008
Oceana 31 October 2008
Artemis 13 December 2008

Passengers on these or any other P&O sailings who wish to have further clarification should call The Cruise Line on 0800 0086677.
